please cite that in the constitution

please explain your support for the DNC giving money to candidates and airing political ads....the DNC is similar to a corp in that the DNC is an association of people....see scalia's concurrance

Anyone can buy a corporation if they have the money.

You people are celebrating giving power in our government to people who hate our country.

What about Unions doing the same thing??

As I've said about a dozen times, I don't think unions should have the kind of influence they do, either.

It's the wiring of this board; campaign finance is a completely non-partisan issue, but we all bend over backwards trying to make it partisan.

It's all bad. Corporations, unions, PAC's - it's clear from reading the board over the past few days that a lot of people don't really understand the influence they all have in gov't...

I personally don't have a problem with it I just believe everything needs to be fully disclosed as far as donations.

How would your optimal system work if we were to truly attempt to get rid of private money in funding elections?

I'd prefer to see it limited to contributions from individuals. Honestly, if it was up to me, I'd limit the amount campaigns can spend, take corporate money completely out of the political process and figure out some way to allow for more free public access media & time for all of the candidates.
