DEARBORN, Mich. — Mohammad Enayah relied on a cousin in Gaza for regular updates on his extended family living under Israel’s bombardment. He heard about the daily challenges his family faced in trying to survive: no access to running water, regular bombings and fleeing from one stranger’s home to another seeking safety.

It is for that reason that Enayah, like many Arab American and Muslim voters in Dearborn — where Arab Americans make up the majority of the population — is resolved not only to withhold his vote from President Biden, but also to actively campaign against him.

Some Michigan Arabs and Muslims have launched an “Abandon Biden” campaign — part of a broader national movement still getting off the ground — to ensure that those in their community show up to cast their votes, but not for Biden.

"A visit to this community makes it clear that even many voters who have not heard of the formal Abandon Biden campaign plan to deny Biden their vote.

They are furious that a president they saw as an ally has unwaveringly backed Israel in a military campaign that has killed tens of thousands of Palestinians and, in their view, shown scant empathy for the dead, wounded and displaced.

Overall, 58% of voters in the key swing states — Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada — hold an unfavorable view of Biden, while as many as 53% have an unfavorable view of Trump. Voters trust the former president to better handle almost every aspect of the economy, typically the top issue in any national election.

Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada all have new election integrity laws that make it difficult for the democrats to repeat the type of election fraud that was used in 2020.
 
Joe Biden had barely started speaking at a high-profile re-election campaign rally focusing on abortion rights in Virginia last week when the carefully choreographed made-for-TV spectacle exploded into a cacophony of angry yelling.

“Genocide Joe!”, a protester holding up a Palestinian flag cried from the back of the hall. “How many kids have you killed in Gaza? How many women have you killed in Gaza?”

Biden looked bemused, blinking silently into the cameras. In all, he was to be interrupted at least 13 more times. “This is going to go on for a while,” he said at one point. “They’ve got this planned.”

You really need to get over the fact that Berny lost to Biden, and you crying about Biden now looks like you crying over spilled milk!

Biden won the state in the 2020 election, and now that he has the endorsement of the UAW president, Biden is going to win the state again, by record numbers in 2024.

You do not vote against the one who is buttering your own bread!

Tell your Palestinian (Hamas) friends not to slaughter innocent Israeli men, women and children and they will be safe.

They broke the ceasefire on Oct. 7.

The talk about Arabs voting for Trump is ridiculous. It is just talk generated by Biden's overwhelming support of Israel. Trump has the same stance. When election day comes, they will have to decide which party represents their interests the most. It is not the racist haters of the right. I live in Derborn and the Arbs I talk to were very upset that Biden was so much in back of Israel and its cruelty. But the Republicans are worse. Biden has backed up and demanded that Israel stop slaughtering Gazans and destroying its infrastructure. The US is trying to find a road to peace.
