The def. of insurrection includes an effort to stop the government from doing its prescribed duties. Do you know what the 1-6 certification of the electoral college votes is? It is an assigned duty of a joint congress. It is a big deal. Trump organized an insurrection and he should not get away with it.

It's a curious case. Insurrection is a crime and he's never been convicted of it, so arguably he's entitled to the customary "presumption of innocence" despite everything known about Jan. 6 and his leading role in it.
