“Multiple people hurt in shooting at Chiefs' victory parade”

He thinks the Government is some threatening autocratic entity that the average citizen has to be ready to go to war again, just think of all the militia organizations out training in the woods supposedly preparing for the day of reckoning, the next Waco any day now

He says he has the guns to protect from "government overreach", but when the government actually DOES overreach, such as in the case of abortion law, he supports that overreach.

He can't articulate a single example of "government overreach" from which his guns protect him.

you will never stop making leftist and racist assumptions, will you? have you always been this comfortable with lying?

I notice that whenever someone throws your words back in your face, you always say it's an "assumption".

What assumption? What are you talking about? If you don't like people making assumptions of you, then don't post stupid, inarticulate things that lead everyone to that!

Why I have been saying for some time now many on the right turn abstract concepts as freedom into a bumper sticker cliche

That makes it better?

Yes, the reality does make things a bit better when there are few dead and the reason for the shooting had nothing to do with someone wanting to kill as many random people as possible. That you do not think it is better that they didn't kill huge numbers of random folks with purpose and aforethought, and that it is still better that it wasn't even their goal to do so, makes me question not just how but whether you value human life at all. When you cannot ascertain a difference between the two it begins to seem that you simply value the political message that you think comes from such newsworthy events.

I say it's an assumption because YOU don't throw my words back in my face. You take what you believe, turn it in to what someone said, and then repeat back your own delusions.

People were collecting Beanie Babies because they thought they might be worth something down the line; like baseball cards, or pogs, or any other kitschy consumer fad.

People collect guns for entirely different reasons than that.

I maintain that it's an addiction; ammosexuals are addicted to the chemicals their brains release when they hold and fire a gun.

Here's what can happen to your brain and body when you shoot a gun

Or they simply like beanie babies or baseball cards like I like guns, knives and swords.

Anything can be an addiction, dear. Some people go to extremes. It's flawed logic to consider the extremes to be equal to the norm.

Why I have been saying for some time now many on the right turn abstract concepts as freedom into a bumper sticker cliche

I think it's more personal than that. I think he has an addiction to guns. He's addicted to the chemicals his brain releases when he holds and fires it. And he's not alone....the gun addiction is pretty bad.

I say it's an assumption because YOU don't throw my words back in my face.

I've been asking you for a couple years now exactly what kind of "overreach" your guns "protect" you from....because that's what you said.

You said that you have your guns to protect from "government overreach"; I'm asking what "government overreach"? The loss of abortion rights? No, you support that overreach. The loss of voting rights? No, you support that overreach too.

So what "overreach" are your guns supposed to protect you from?

Or they simply like beanie babies or baseball cards like I like guns, knives and swords.

There is always a psychological explanation that goes beyond "I like them".

WHY do you like them?

Anything can be an addiction, dear.

We're talking about guns, so let's stay on topic.

Some people go to extremes.

The thing is that an extreme case of Beanie Baby addiction results in a closet full of stuffed animals.

An extreme case of gun addiction results in the LV concert mass shooting.

it is impossible to take you seriously when you continue to make shit up.

Isn't everything when discussing human beings?

I enjoy shooting. It's a skill. Same goes for cross and compound bows. Do you have a hobby? What is the psychological explanation of enjoying crochet, knitting or bowling?

I am on topic. Why do you insist replies in which you disagree are "off topic"?

An extreme case of Beanie Babies is to become a Baby serial killer stuffing one done the throats of babies. Let's keep it apples-to-apples, dear. :)

You're trying to change the subject because you can tell that you're not going to win the argument on your merits.

When you fire a gun -or even when you're just holding it- your brain releases chemicals that make you feel a certain way, and the release of those chemicals happens when you take hold of the gun.

So it is quite literally an addiction to a chemical reaction in your brain.

I am on topic.

No, you keep trying to change the topic or broaden it out.

You're not acting in good faith and the reason is because you realized that your position is stupid.

An extreme case of Beanie Babies is to become a Baby serial killer stuffing one done the throats of babies.

Which never happened.

But Steven Paddock did shoot 200 people in LV, killing about 50.

You're the one who doesn't want to talk about the chemistry of gun addiction.

Every time I bring it up, you change the subject.
You accused me of derailing when I did try to talk about it, dear.

That's fine. I know you just want to rant about guns to give yourself a purpose for living. I also suspect you ran from discussing psychology because it hits too close to home for you. Your choice.

You accused me of derailing when I did try to talk about it, dear.

You DIDN'T try to talk about it, you tried to deflect and divert.

You haven't confronted the science, you've avoided it.

I know you just want to rant about guns to give yourself a purpose for living.

That sounds like projection to me.

I also suspect you ran from discussing psychology because it hits too close to home for you. Your choice.

I posted the links, you refused to look at them.

You don't want to look at them because you want us to believe that you're not addicted to guns, except that your brain chemistry says otherwise.

So you ignore and deflect the science because it doesn't back you up.
