There are a lot of people who share the same politics. When you vote for President or any high office you are voting for a leader. Some people think cheating on your cancer stricken wife and getting your mistress pregnant and hiding it are not skills of a leader. Of course that is up to each voting individual to decide.
If you believe politicians are supposed to govern and do what is best for thier constituents (help them out, IOW) then Edwards should stay out of politics until he fixes the mess his personal life is in. Being in that position demands respect and he ain't got it right now. He needs to get the beam out of his eye, so to speak...
I never said he was a leader or that I would ever vote for him again. I merely said to me it does not discredit his politics.
What disqualifies him as a leader to me is denying the paternity of a child who will one day grow up and hear that her father denied her. That is a person with a serious lack of integrity.
Hes a liar and has little to no ethics....

His politics honored the sanctity of marriage and the vows and committments therein at one point in his political career. The nasty business of Elizabeth getting incurable cancer probably put such a strain on him. Poor dear.
What other oath would you feel comfortable seeing him take and then as readily break, since he took this one so lightly?
How about an oath to serve and protect his country? He can't even serve and protect his very own family from himself and you think his politics are something you wrap your own morals and beliefs around?

I sized Edwards up as a phony withing 30 seconds of seeing him, 12 years ago. He's an asshole, nothing more.

We all hate him here in NC. He bought the senate seat and fooled just enough folks to win. I recall a black dude that I worked with saying that he was the next JFK (that moron). Then even the 'rats here saw through him, and his senate seat was in jeopardy, but faggot Kerry picks him as his running mate. His popularity has since tanked to 15%.

So, Edwards is proven to be a cheat and a liar, a man of little or no character, a man of questionable morals and ethics, you yourself say he suffers a "serious lack of integrity," what makes you think he believes in his own "politics?" Seems to me that a man like that would "believe" whatever he needs to believe in order to get what he wants.

Exactly correct, and that's the thrust of the new book about him. He's a piece of shit who viewed his constituents as lemmings and he would do whatever he had to to get more lemmings on his side. In other words, he's a typical America politician.
