CDC now advises people to treat COVID same as the flu and other respiratory illnesses

A case of Covid no longer means isolating for five days, according to the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released Friday. It’s the latest sign of the virus’s normalization four years after it upended our lives.

You should now follow the same precautions with Covid as you take with the flu, according to new guidelines from the CDC. That means staying home until you’ve gone a day with no fever and improving symptoms. Take other precautions for the next five days, including wearing a mask and limiting close contact with others.

Those are the same steps the CDC recommends for other respiratory viruses.

“Covid-19 is still an important public health threat, but it is not the emergency that it once was,” said Dr. Brendan Jackson, who leads the respiratory virus response for the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Disease, on Friday.
“And its health impacts increasingly resemble those of other [respiratory viral] illnesses, including influenza and RSV.”

Plenty of Americans dropped Covid testing and isolation periods long ago as the virus became more routine. Many schools and workplaces hadn’t been enforcing the stricter CDC guidance, and some states have already relaxed their Covid guidance.

Many doctors say that at this point, common sense should guide you. If you feel sick, stay home. When you’re feeling well enough to go out but still have some symptoms, it’s a good idea to wear a mask indoors to protect others. Be more cautious if you’re going to be around more vulnerable people, such as those who are immunocompromised or elderly.

You seem to have purposefully neglected posting the part of the article that explains why there is less of a risk now

Now that so many of us have been infected and reinfected, and gotten vaccinated at least once, our immune defenses against the virus are stronger, he notes. And we have more tools to fight it if we do get sick, including anti-viral medications.

Years ago, MAGA morons told us to not get vaccines and not to worry about COVID. If we had listened to you, vaccines and antiviral treatments would not have been developed, because MAGA morons claimed COVID was just like the common cold

Funny how the flu cases dropped to basically zero during covid and covid numbers were consistent with flu cases from previous years.

Wearing a mask does nothing. Masks do not stop a virus. They are DUST MASKS.
Paradox M.

The CDC can go take a flying leap into the ozone hole.

The Pfizer 'vaccine' is not a vaccine. It's a treatment. It's purpose is to CAUSE Covid19 to be created by the body itself (so it can learn how to fight it).
It also has side effects, more of which are coming to light as time wears on.

The common cold (actually one of thousands of variants of the Rhinovirus series) is usually worse than Covid19 is. Covid19 is the mildest variant of the Covid/SARS series of viruses discovered so far to date.

No one has died of a virus from either series.

That's because ANY infection was treated as a Covid19 infection. Why? Money. States and counties were PAID to say that, AND to falsify public records to list almost any cause of death a 'covid19' death.

Here in Washington, falsifying public records is a class B felony.

There are several diseases floating around that have similar symptoms. A respiratory disease is a respiratory disease. You can treat and mitigate the damage by using conventional emergency healthcare. However the causes of the diseases are different and require different medicines to eliminate.
I walked my dog past an emergency care clinic and the parking lot was jammed.

Seems reasonable now that everyone who wants to get vaccinated has had the opportunity to do so.

Untrue, but social distancing does slow the flu along w COVID.

That’s how a vaccine works.

Dont be dumb enough to take any more death jabs, and dont test for COVID is what my grapevine is almost unanimously saying.

Ya know, righties - COVID wasn't a sinister plot to control the world.

It was a virus, that DID kill people, that was a new variant that no one had seen - people erred on the side of caution, and made mistakes.

Maybe the next time, everyone will respond to a worldwide crisis perfectly. This one wasn't perfect. Maybe you can all sue somebody.

Almost everything the so-called experts told us they were sure about was wrong.

This does not happen on accident.

"They are not even pushing Vit D....this is not about our health....this is about something else"
Bret starting on or about July 2020

Bret now makes the good point that a lot of what we were told was the inverse of good advice....for instance dont go outside, stay in your house as much as possible. Was this shear incompetence? Almost certainly it was not...this society is flooded with Anti-Truth...not just not the truth but the exact opposite of the truth...which rarely happens in the wild. When we see a lot of Anti-Truth we can be sure that there is a psyops war against us....we are being abused.
