Conspiracy theories fall apart when you really focus on them.
Like - why would "the government" want to use a pandemic to "control the population?"
It just hurts the economy, which inevitably hurts their re-election chances. I can say w/ certainty that pretty much everyone in the government never would have wanted a pandemic to happen. Leaders want good economies. They don't want people to be sick. And that is for selfish reasons - a sick, poor populace will always want change.
It's all so silly. We have flawed leaders, who tried to do their best, and in hindsight, made mistakes. The idea that it was something more sinister than that is for the "moon is made of cheese" crowd. It's not a serious discussion.
