I was just reading that the NYT is now losing long time subscribers over this.

Their/Sienna polling is typically considered to be accurate, even though everyone knows that polls are designed to achieve the desired outcome. And that's the problem. Their latest poll asks if Biden is too old to be POTUS, but they don't ask 'do you believe trump is suffering from cognitive decline'?. Or 'are you concerned about trump's incendiary rhetoric?', etc..

If, as you say, this is about clicks or views, they seem to have shit the bed.

LOL. When I do watch it's for the other people on the show that morning. Agree about him talking over everyone. Thankfully 'Me Too' claimed Chris Matthews who was arguably the worst interviewer in the history of the concept.

NYTimes lost credibility. Now they can treat their poll as a fact that Trump deserves to win. Totally irresponsible.

Why should they ask about trump if the poll wants to find out if people think biden is too old? Even if people think trump is in decline what does that have to do with their belief that biden is too old? You just can't stand anyone criticizing moron Joe?

CNN is running a story about that today.

Doesn't bother me. I expect that the media should report honestly even if I don't particularly like what they're saying. The NYT-Sienna poll over the weekend about Biden's age seems to have really angered a lot of people. Well, if that's what those polled think, that's what they think. Yeah, it made a lot of MAGATs happy. But they're happy about anything that destroys America.

Polls are reliable as horoscopes. They predicted Hillary would win and she did not win.

As Plato said, should we trust what a bunch of people say or a reasoned argument. Polls are now part of social media, just a bunch of people yammering.

Oh, I hated Chris Matthews! I used to get so pissed watching "Hardball" during the Iraq War. He was a cheerleader for it, and he let so many people on his show get by with misinformation. I remember once he didn't know he was on camera, and he was swearing and losing his shit at his staff because they couldn't find any decent b-roll to put up when Bloomberg was making noises about running for president. Also, he had "tummy issues" and belched all the time while on the air :)
