Trump has trapped himself as he and his spokesperson, Alina Habba are still on Magat News shows saying how rich he is, and when asked by their friendly reporters they keep saying 'of course he has the cash to pay the Bonds, as he is rich'. Trump himself, said in a recent deposition that he has over $400MM in cash and has affirmed that on right derp media while saying 'but they cannot have it'.

So why would Elon or any Billionaire giver Trump a penny, if he has the money he claims but is refusing to use it and instead is saying 'I would rather use your money'.

I actually think Musk and the other billionaires might have helped him if Trump was humble enough to say, 'I don't have the cash but i have assets and can pay you back over time'. They might risk that, even knowing Trump is a dead beat.

But when you are out bragging in one interview that you do have the cash to cover this, while also then begging others to cover it for you, that rubs everyone the wrong way.

And Elon's not naive. He can see the danger of becoming Trump's funder would be like giving a heroine user his next fix free thinking you helped him and now he will leave you alone, and the guy just keeps coming back begging for more.

Trump has whole slait of Jan6th lawsuits now proceeding against him. And if Elon pays his current $500MM need and then Trump is hit with hundreds of millions more, which is very likely, Trump would squeeze Elon to keep covering them with the threat of going bankrupt and losing Elon the prior $500M already lent.
