Does it bother any of you social conservatives that Condoleezza Rice is gay and lives with her girlfriend?

Do you believe this should have disqualified her from being sec of state?

Should this disqualify her should she want to run for president?

Has Condi publicly stated she is homosexual? How do you make the assumption she is? Based on rumors? Based on her living with another female? It seems you have made a somewhat bigoted and prejudice stereotype-based assumption about Condi, care to explain what would prompt such an unbiased and non-judgmental person to do such a thing?

Also... Why do you presume homosexuality would disqualify someone for public office? Is it because, in your bigoted mind, it would just be impossible for anyone to overlook her homosexuality and support her? Of course, like Chris Matthews... you wouldn't notice... but the rest of us 'pickup drivers' would... right?

Absolutely right.

It was the social conservatives who made Annise Parker's homosexuality a central issue when she ran for the office of Mayor of Houston.

Apparently, in the bigoted minds of many Houston area CONSERVATIVES, the woman's homosexuality made her an unacceptable candidate.

Dixie, there have been plenty of social conservatives who tried to stop homosexuals from serving in the military, being teachers, being Boy Scout leaders, and from holding other positions of responsibility.

You may not feel this way, but don't make it sound as though it has never happened.

I dont presume anything, I am merely asking.

I thought she was open about being homosexual, I dont really care if she is or is not.

So if there is debate about her sexuality, lets , for the sake of this discussion, pretend it is a fact....

If it were a fact that she is Homosexual and lives with her lover should that have precluded her from being secretary of State?

If it were a fact that she is homosexual and lives with her lover should that preclude her from being elected president should she choose to run?

Then take it up with the conservatives of Houston, Einstein. Sounds to me like you need to uproot and raise your daughter in an area where lesbianism is a viable choice for her.

Fortunately for Mayor Parker, inbred bigots with small minds are on the decline in all parts of this nation...even in good ol Redneck Houston...she was voted in with a clear majority, despite all the vicious personal attacks from members of the "family values" Party.
