Kids at Deer Creek School District in Oklahoma seen sucking on toes at ‘fundraiser’

What does Leaningright think about this?

He just read this and thinks this is stupid, gross and dumb and … people are idiots.

Oh…and I would resign if I taught for that district. I wouldn’t work for administration who would allow such.

And on this, I agree 100% with Ryan Walters…but I still ain’t gonna ever vote for him.

Pretty much what I thought you would think. v You need to face the fact that the Democrat party has left you.

Isn't it amazing how rural and suburban Oklahoma is now completely liberal controlled?

Nope, but the closer you get to the cities, the more liberal the school administration and staff. Truth. Deer Creek is in the Edmond area, one of the more liberal areas around OKC. The schools there reflect that.

In fact, Edmond is the only area in the entire state where someone commented on our activity bus. Griped at the academics coach about the Indian head on the side and the mascot name “Savages” painted there.

Edit: Wanted to add that I just found out the other day that I’m a “lefty” so you may be right after all.

Nope…it’s a liberal controlled district, like most schools in and around the city.

Do you really think this is about liberalism and conservatism? If the student were forced to do this by adults, I readily agree that heads should roll. My understanding is that the students came up with the events for the fundraiser. If adults found the events to be safe and sanity, such as wash the feet, then no matter how gross, why say no to them? They raised over $150K. How much money are Republicans giving schools? Aren't they, in fact, cutting funding?

Bottom line is that it would never fly in a district with a more conservative administration and staff. My pointing out that the district was run by liberals was more in response to Zappasguitar’s jab at Oklahoma’s moral, conservative nature…

It's Oklahoma.

They are sexually repressed GOP freaks.

Republicans are not necessarily “cutting funding.” They are trying to shift it or spread it out to private institutions…which I am adamantly against. So some of the are a big problem when it comes to public education…and when junk like this is allowed to go on in a public school it gives them more ammunition and allows them to paint all public ed with a broad, liberal brush. And the general public here just eats it up.

I’ve spent 37 years pointing out the differences between public schools like Deer Creek and public schools like the one at which I work.
