What job did he have that he had zero qualifications for?

I suggest you read his testimony to Congress. It gives his resume and he talks about his qualifications.

In the case of Lara Trump, she has no experience running any organization and no law degree.

What makes you think he wasn’t qualified?

Lara Trump is has made it abundantly clear her intentions as the new co-chair for the RNC, the money will go to Trump, down ballot candidates need not apply for funds, they are going to Trump, they are on their own.

If it's true that you're outraged why does it matter? I would ask the same of my conservative colleagues. Nothing will be done to address this. There is a complicit media that won't lift a finger to dig into it. Look at what happened to Catherine Herridge. That tells us what we need to know.

One of the biggest things the right used to laugh at about the left was how willing we were to 'eat our own'.

To hold to account, kick from office, or see prosecuted Dems who did bad things.

Republi'cans' used to see that as weakness. Magats laugh at the idea as they feign outrage for made up Dem crimes (ie Joe Biden) while crying ignore all Republi'can' ones ('Leave Trump alone").

So the problem is mainly a Magat one.

I didn't vote because, while I believe Hunter, like Junior and Eric, did use the family name to enrich himself, I'm not angry over it as long as it's legal. From what I've seen, trading on a family name is legal.
 
It is a company seeking out Hunter knowing who he is related to and offering him a job. Hunter had no way to broker the name. Corporations are full of famous and powerful people's kids being offered big jobs they may or may not be qualified to do. Hunter has great credentials. He has owned a lobbying company in the past. He graduated from Yale Law.
 
I think that maybe some respondents to this thread missed the sarcastic intent of the OP.

Sure he could. "Hi! I'm Hunter Biden, son of Joe Biden. Help me help you."

The problem isn't Hunter playing off the family name. It would be a problem only if Hunter was able to use his access to turn his father for whatever company hired Hunter. Worse would be if Joe took some of Hunter's profits. There is no evidence that ever happened which is why Republicans keep fishing.

My take on it was that the the thread title was bait and switch.

Makes the reader think it's about nepotism and family name trading engaged in by Hunter Biden.

But when you look at the link, it's about the Trump's engaging in the same thing.

I believe a couple of lefties got sucked in, too.

If i wrote in the OP, 'Lara Trump grifting off the family name unlike Hunter who actually has qualifications'...

Then the entire reply would have been Magats addressing the Hunter point and NOT the Lara Trump one.

So my goal was to avoid that by speaking as if a Magat in the way they do about Hunter, to take that point away.

You can see in the first Magat reply, simply because one poster replied first 'Hunter was qualified' that they focused on that, that only, which is what i knew they would.
