There really isn't a need to get vitriolic. Not that it stings or anything, but I don't get why people just can't have civil conversations. All I'm doing is advocating for more protection for civilians, and that seems to really upset some here.

I really never would have guessed that would be controversial in any way.

Not surprising. A LOT of Palestinians don't like Hamas. They barely get scant recognition. This guy is a cornucopia of questions ... conditioning via imprisonment? Daddy issues? Genuine disdain for "terrorist" tactics? All of the above? In any event, though his stance may be genuine, there is no excuse for the 70 years of oppression and ghettoization of the Palestinian people by zionist Israel. And of course, let's remember that it was Netanyahu's gov't that backed Hamas against the PLO, then thought to annex the area and make the Palestinians 2nd class citizens in their own homes.

Not quite, Dippy old bean! HAMAS has the distinction of being supported by Netanyahu & fellow zionist as a bulwark against the PLO. Neither ISIS, AQ or Taliban share that distinction. Nor the aforementioned 3 share geographic history with Israel as well.
