"Donald Trump invited his extended family to Mar-a-Lago in the mid-1990s. As the clan gathered at the palatial Florida estate, though, his father was badly struggling, according to Mary L. Trump, Donald’s niece.

Fred Trump Sr., the pugnacious developer then in his late 80s, didn’t recognize two of his children at the party, recalled Mary L. Trump, who attended the gathering. And when he did recognize Donald, the family patriarch approached his son with a picture of a Cadillac that he wanted to buy — as if he needed his son’s permission.

The incident, Mary L. Trump said, left Donald Trump visibly upset at his father’s descent into dementia, which medical records show had been diagnosed several years earlier. Trump reflected his anguish in an interview around that time, with Playboy in 1997 reporting that seeing his father “addled with Alzheimer’s” had left him wondering “out loud about the senselessness of life.”

Today, as the 77-year-old Trump seeks to return to the White House, he is still focused on the ravages of dementia — but this time he is using the condition as a political weapon, alleging without medical proof that President Biden, 81, is “cognitively impaired.” Those attacks follow a long pattern for the former president, who for years has bashed enemies as mentally frail while boasting in public about “acing” the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a basic test that flags signs of early dementia.

Trump regularly claims to have passed the test twice, but through a spokesman, his campaign declined to release his test results or to specify when he most recently took it. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Tex.), the former White House physician, said in an interview this month that he administered it to Trump once, in January 2018. Trump in November released a three-paragraph letter in which Bruce Aronwald, a doctor of osteopathy, said that Trump’s health was excellent and that “cognitive exams were exceptional” but provided no details. Aronwald did not respond to a request for comment.

Ziad Nasreddine, the neurologist who created the test, said in an interview that if an individual in their 70s had not taken the Montreal test since 2018, the results would not be valid to cite today."

Trump’s long fixation on mental fitness followed years of watching his father’s worsening dementia — a formative period that some associates said has been a defining and little-mentioned factor in his life, and which left him with an abiding concern that he might someday inherit the condition. While much remains unknown about Alzheimer’s, experts say there is an increased risk of inheriting a gene associated with the disease from a parent."

“Donald is no doubt fearful of Alzheimer’s,” said a former senior executive at the Trump Organization, who worked for years with Trump and saw him interact with Fred Trump Sr., and who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a confidential relationship. “He’s not going to talk about and not going to admit to it. But it’s relevant because every day he is hitting Biden with whether or not he is capable mentally of doing the job.”

No question he seems less mentally up to it this time than four years ago.

In October 1991, Trump's physician diagnosed "mild senile dementia", describing the symptoms as "'significant memory impairment' with 'early signs of dementia' and 'obvious memory decline in recent years'".

It is a fact his dad suffered from dementia. It was a bad case of it too. No straws. It runs in families. It is what explains Trump's crazy talk. Trump is a cruel and selfish person and his brain is deteriorating. https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-mocked-father-for-alzheimers-mary-trump-book-claims-2020-6

“Donald Trump’s over-the-top rhetoric is not new and, for more than 400 licensed medical professionals, it’s not the most troubling aspect of Trump’s public performances.

“They see evidence that the former president, at 77, is suffering from ‘probable dementia’ so they have signed their names … to an online statement asserting that grave concern.”

“The media never tire of asking, ‘Is [President Joe] Biden too old?’” Gartner says. “Polls showed twice as many people were worried about Biden’s cognitive health as Trump’s, when Biden’s memory lapses are within the normal limits for his age [81]. We all get more forgetful as we age. To say that makes us incompetent or ‘too old’ is ageism. I would argue that I’ve garnered wisdom and judgment from life experience that more than compensates for my memory blips. And I think the same could be said of Biden. … That’s why I say Biden’s brain is aging, but Trump’s brain is dementing.”

Gartner, a psychotherapist who was an assistant professor for 28 years at the Johns Hopkins University Medical School, has found credible help sounding this alarm. The statement the other professionals signed claims Trump is “showing unmistakable signs strongly suggesting dementia, based on his public behavior and informant reports.”
“His vocabulary is impoverished, he often has difficulty finishing a thought, sentence or even a word. Typical of dementia patients, he [repeats] and overuses superlatives and filler words.”

WHO CARES? Stupidity runs in your family and I never mention your parents.

What a childish shit post that was. You do not even try. Trump shows serious signs of dementia which runs in his family. It is just that easy. Perhaps not for you.

Biden avoids to mention his son died in Maryland and not Iraq

"Dementia" sploogy...

No male member of trump's family has ever reached the age of 70 and been competent.

More amazing facts you just made up...

What a childish shit post that was. You do not even try. Trump shows serious signs of dementia which runs in his family. It is just that easy. Perhaps not for you.

Nothing like the childish shit that was the OP and this thread, though.

The desperation and panic of you Marxists is something to behold...

That's when you know LyinBitch is surrendering.
He can't handle the truth. That's why LyinBitch lies so much.

We know that Trump suppressed his physicals from the public. He did that from the beginning writing his own physicals. There had to be a reason for that. Even lyingfish cannot create a justification. Perhaps he can find a meme or 12. But Trump is hiding information about his health and has been doing it from the beginning. He hid the info when he got Covid and was in serious condition. Dr. Bornstein admitted that Trump wrote his absurd physicals.
In the Whitehouse, he controlled his doctor. The health reports he gave were obviously written by Trump.
