This might actually be a brilliant move on Trump's part. If the State seizes Trump's assets in New York, they will be required to document a fixed value of them to determine how much they are worth compared to the fine he owes. Once they do that, the State of New York and the prosecution team will be exposed to the same civil charges they brought against Trump for "fraudulent" real estate appraisals.

They usually just auction it off, and give the defendant whatever is left over after the judgement is paid, if anything.

trump tower is in bad shape, and the commercial real estate market is down, so I doubt there will be anything left over.

Just like nobody ever proved there were any illegal actions by Hunter or Joe. But they still investigated a private citizen and began impeachment proceedings which found nothing. No doubt engineered by Trump and Republicans.
