Guess the parents will not be charged

What kind of evil little feral thug kids.... say hey lets stop had stab this lady

Someone raised them well and should be charged
Did you even read the story? The police said that the victim is mentally challenged with Mental Illness.
Now the mother of the knife wielder is saying her child is also mentally challenged, and she has been seeking help from the state and local officials to get help for her son, who is out of her control.
But, now that the youth responsible for the stabbing, will be sent to a youth lockup facility to deal with his mental illness, it took someone being seriously wounded to make that happen behind bars.

Yes, here in Texas, a mentally challenged person has to commit a dangerous crime, to get the treatment they direly need. It should not have to be this way, AFTER THE FACT!

WEAK TEXAS! VERY WEAK TEXAS!

And even though this mother has been crying for help, she was told by the state she had no where to go to seek help for her mentally challenged son, and even worse than that, the mother will most likely be now challenged by the states's criminal and racist Attorney General, and accused of Criminal Child Neglect in the matter, and will be facing charges herself.

I've said this for years- My own state is fucked up and allows for crimes to happen first, before they do anything, and the thing they do is just incarcerate the mentally challenged and their parents, AFTER THE DAMAGE IS DONE, when all of this should have never happened in the first place, and could have been avoided under the right circumstances.

Way to go TEXAS! Way to just fuck up everyone's lives here, instead of doing the right thing in trying to prevent crimes like these in the first place.

WHEN THE TRUTH IS, Thanks to our state lottery, TEXAS HAS THE LARGEST RAINY DAY FUND IN ALL THE 50 States. So, it is not because we don't have the money to help our mentally challenged citizens- BEFORE SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS.

We don't know what her particular issues are with mental health. It is entirely possible she is a functional adult at some level. Outside of that, two pre-teens attacking her violently is a huge issue. It is clear the woman wasn't doing anything in particular to provoke the attack.

Sorry, my fault, but I must have accidentally erased the line that said the police are now saying both victim and child attacker are both mentally challenged.

I edited my previous comment to reflect the info.

The police have not said what the dispute was about, only that after an argument with the victim, the boys went home, and prepared to come back and commit the crime, and then returned to commit the crime.

If the kid(s) was capable of planning out this crime, then he / they were not sufficiently mentally impaired that they couldn't figure out right from wrong.

I'm not here to argue the case for the attackers in the crime. I was merely just stating known facts, that have already been determined by the police who are still investigating the matter.

And that is, that this was a crime where both parties, both victim and perpetrator, involved are alleged to have mental issues.

There is never anyone that would condone someone being stabbed by another, in a planned and motivated unprovoked attack. And no one here is suggesting that is the case.

This case is going to be decided by using precedents that are related to the age and mental status of the victim and the perpetrators- AND THE ACTIONS AND NON ACTIONS BY THE PARENTS INVOLVED- depending on state laws.

It's Texas.

I imagine that it could happen in Florida as well.
