Jon Stewart found to have overvalued his NYC home by 829% after slamming

this is not the same as what they claim Trump did. but progressive meat sticks should be coming for him with flaming pitchforks since the rich bastard was undervaluing his home and not paying his "fair share"

Did Trump claim his property had more sq footage etc that it really had? Nope

Yes, it is a provable fact that trump claimed one of his properties had more square footage than it had. he also claimed that he had rights to subdivide his property into condos that he had signed away.

Trump did argue that a tax assessment of property value of less than $25 million was too high for a property he valued at $1.5 billion.

Thanks for losing.

So arguing is against the law?

Many here in Kansas City are arguing the tax assessment of their property...should they are be charged with a crime?

The sale price is the value of the home, so Stewart definitely did not overvalue the home. You are accusing him of undervaluing the home.

It is not uncommon for tax values of homes to be lower than market values. This does seem extreme though, not impossible, but extreme.

I did a little more research. The tax assessment can only go up a limited amount each year, so extreme differences between it and the huge market rises are not that unusual.

The NY Post is a tabloid that frequently contains false information.

VolsSuck isn't smart enough to understand the difference. That's what makes him three perfect mark for Trump's cult.

Apples to apples please. Did Stewart say the house was worth $17M in order to obtain a bank loan?

It is "apples to apples." Your conclusion is what's wrong. The only true way to know what a property is worth is to sell it. The valuations on Stewart's property were quite low compared to what he was able to get on selling it.

So, Judge Engoron's assessment of the value of Mar-a-Lago is the same thing. A low-ball estimate of the value, while Trump's was / is a high-ball valuation. Both are nothing but estimates, just like Trump's pricing on his loan paperwork. The bank must decide with due diligence what the value is, not take someone's word for it.

Sorry, but I'm not a Sea Lawyer nor a Real Estate expert as you are, Terry. If you were correct, then Trump will win on appeal.

Trump deliberately and knowingly misrepresented the value of his properties in order to defraud lenders into loaning him more money, and defraud the government in order to lower his taxes.

Plain and simple.

Stewart asked a price higher than that which his property was appraised at and the buyer had full access to county assessor records and private real estate appraisers.

Hence, the was no fraud or attempt to defraud.

You'd have to be incredibly dumb to not understand that.

Looks like JPP righties hate free market capitalism.

Guess that's why they love TrumPutin so much.

Communism is their thing.

Thanks for admitting the ONLY reason Trump is being targeted is because he is running for President....thats why its called a Witch Hunt!

I honestly don't care what kind of hunt it is.
I'm for whatever brings him down.

It's not a right and wrong world, vols.
It's an us and them world.

He knows it.
I would expect his trumpanzees to know it as well.

Jon Stewart found to have overvalued his NYC home by 829% after slamming Trump’s civil case as ‘not victimless’

In 2014, Stewart sold his 6,280-square-foot Tribeca duplex to financier Parag Pande for $17.5 million. The property’s asking price at that time is not available in listing records.

But according to 2013-2014 assessor records obtained by The Post, the property had the estimated market-value at only $1.882 million. The actual assessor valuation was even lower, at $847,174.

Records also show that Stewart paid significantly lower property taxes, which were calculated based on that assessor valuation price — precisely what he called Trump out for doing in his Monday monologue.

How does this suggest that Stewart is the one who Valued his property? There is no crime in asking for more than your houses worth when you are selling it

This may very well be the dumbest threat ever.
