Its a war because of our elected officials' actions to prosecute it as such. Are you aware that we've fielded thousands of troops in foreign countries, dropped bombs, killed combatants and taken prisoners? Do you think this is usual diplomacy?

Here's what I don't understand. Did you want the military to show up in Detroit, take custody of the guy and whisk him away somewhere? On what authority? And do what with him? Do you think it is a good idea for the military to do that sort of thing as a general matter?
