Gibbs Scrawls Grocery List on Hand in Jab at Palin

Is that what you do when someone nails you to the wall on something? You have made a big deal in the past about saying you'll always admit you're wrong when it's shown to you, so I thought there wouldn't be a problem with this.

It's the equivalent of plugging up your ears, shouting "nyah, nyah" and running away like a little girl.

I'm not saying I'm surprised, mind you. But it seemed like a simple thing that I was asking for....

Oh - folks? Btw - the thread was not weeks ago. It was a week ago.

And Yurt still didn't admit he was wrong, or that he was lying about posting the CBO link, or lying about the CBO conclusion.

Yurt?

more onceler lies....those posts and my post specifically were back in january, that is MORE than a week ago, hence, WEEKS AGO...

:palm:

why do i even bother

Splitting hairs.

How about the CBO link, and conclusion? You have avoided this dozens of times at this point.

You are running away.

Gibbs Scrawls Grocery List on Hand in Jab at Palin

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs took a swipe at Sarah Palin Tuesday, mimicking the former vice presidential candidate's decision to use her hand as a notepad at the National Tea Party Convention last week.

can obama and his administration get any more childish, amateurish and involved in "petty politics"....obama is not a US president, he is a HS president and has a HS press secretary

further obama is a liar, he just called for dems and republicans to end petty politics, then his press secretary pulls this stupid bit.....dems should be embarrassed by obama and his administration

Gibbs is an idiot Yurt. Out of all the years I've listened to White House Press Secretaries, he's got to the biggest, full of hot gas, talking head I've ever heard. But what do you expect from someone who's got to cover for someone like barry soetoro? Hell the majority of what he say's has to be some sort of obfuscation, distortion or outright lie. Thing is it's so obvious. The guy is a fucking jackass to get up there and do that for another fucking jackass like soetoro.

i see you are still going to be a dishonest hack and not admit you lied that i was excited about the dow dipping...how pathetic of you

this is the last time i am going to answer you, because all you do is keep repeating the same thing ad nauseum, you're an obsessive freak, you and yurtski should get a room

i already posted it, with a direct link to the cbo letter with the exact language
i pointed it out to in that thread more than once, just because you disagree, doesn't mean i didn't point it out. now, you can either continue making a complete fool out of yourself by following me all around the board in nearly every thread you get into with me about this, or you can simply man up and accept i did give the quote. this is truly one of your most embarrassing displays of inanity on this forum onceler. that thread was WEEKS ago and you're still obsessing over.

you need to get a life, i hear yurtski needs one too.....enjoy each other

why onceler continues to obsessively lie about this, only he and his demons can answer :cof1:

Seriously: the snip you posted...you think that is where the CBO concludes that the economy would be better off if Obama had done nothing?

I apologize then; you weren't lying, or or wrong. You just can't read very well, and comprehend things.

I'm honestly embarassed for you at this point. Very sad.

:clink:

so you support obama's press secretary mocking someone at a presidential press conference....especially after obama calls on both dems and republicans to stop the "petty politics"

yes or no

real simple

yes

real simple.

she's a big girl....if she can't stand some ribbing after being so boneheaded as to have to remind herself of her four inane talking points with a note on the palm of her hand, she needs to step out of the arena.

I think the left should more consistently point out how she can pull off a complete speech with simple one-word reminder notes, we can contrast it with a person who can't even pull off 3 minute opening remarks without a teleprompter... and I am not one of the people who thinks she's some sort of genius. I'm just impressed with her speaking skill.

she had prepared remarks printed and on the podium during the speech... the notes on the hand were for the interview later.

Not from what I saw. She looked at her hand a few times during the speech and only once before attempting to wipe off the writing during the interview.

She is quite a talented speaker. I've watched another person that was nearly as talented speak from truncated notes once before (Bob Schaffer, I stood behind him when he accepted a nomination and could actually see the notes.)

I know you want to attempt to demean her, and are desperate to do so, but this underlines her talents not a deficit. I think you should keep bringing up this particular talent as it does contrast well against another talented speaker we all know.

They're more impressed, nay obsessed, with taking whatever heat they can off the fact that Barack Obama is tanking in some serious fashion. The playing out of sheer desperation by the left just on this message board is live comedy theatre at it's best.

You wonder what will happen when the real shit hits the fan.

Real men don't eat quiche. They just whine ad nauseum about Sarah Palin being able to deliver a speech with simple one-word reminders, while Las Vegas is making book on how many times the Prez says "um and uh".

You don't know that. A better explanation is that she has some last minute thoughts that she wanted to emphasize, and that is backed up by the facts. :)

Seriously? She didn't pull off a complete speech with simple one-word reminder notes. She had the written text of the speech on the podium while she delivered it, if you watch even part of the speech, you can see her looking down at the prepared remarks while she delivered it.

The hand notes were for some other purpose, most likely the Q & A session when she had no podium in front of her and thus no prepared remarks to read from.

Nah, if you watch the whole speech she refers to her hand during the speech several times. She went with prepared notes but like many speakers went into areas uncovered by the notes. Actually watch the video of the whole speech, you will see what I am talking about.

During the Q&A, you see her look at her hand only once and immediately work on removing the words from her hand. The words were written for the speech and not the Q&A just based on when she actually referred to them and how often.

May I serve you some quiche with that whine?

And yes, I actually watch gifted speakers for just such things (every speech by Obama, Reagan, and Palin for instance) to gather pointers to improve my skills in that area. I often speak publicly and know what it entails and how difficult it is.

Of course, what I "learned" from this is that notes on your hand are a distraction.

Yes. But that detracts from the speech. Nobody is talking about what she said, they are talking about notes on her hand. Whether we think it is important or not, her message was lost because of a simple distraction.
