Rush is a political commentator not a stand up comic. He was not doing his impersonation of a blowhard who blames people who take offense at the word retard. He was being a blowhard who blames people who take offense at the word retard. Nothing in his comments indicates that he did not mean exactly what he said. Whether he or anyone else thinks that it was funny does not change any of that.

That indicates there is something incorrect about what you quoted and to which you responded.

Parody is what Weird Al does. Rush was not doing parody. He was not imitating anyone. If he was mocking anyone it was those that took offense to Rahm's comments or the people who Rahm called retards. We might as well say Rahm was doing parody.

No, I am saying that if later she is asked if it was okay then for someone else to do basically the same thing, she should be consistant. Or at least point out that one is a shock jock and the other is in a respectable position. Not defend the shock jock!
