we're the only assholes to nuke humans.
Fuck no sanctions.

Why, because republicans are always looking for the next country to bomb. DO NOT BOMB IRAN

we have no intention of bombing Iran....our job is just to make sure no one retaliates against Israel......

Sanctions should be an embargo. Don't we have them nearly surrounded anyway? Mark a 1 km deep zone just inside their border and blow up anything that moves in there.

so your point is that Iran is acting like the US?......spending too much and thereby, destabilizing the country's economy?......

not to mention our WMDs

seriously, would we, and by we i mean the little people, have been able to survive a depression and would we take the rest of the world down with us

be careful of what you ask for, you may get it

federal spending has kept the u s of a out of a depression so far

without some infusion of a large amount of money we would have slid into a depression

recessions and depressions kill people, depressions kill the most

Bullshit. Its the fed spending that has turned a normal business cycle recession into a depression, and now we're on the edge of a financial disaster. First FDR then Carter now Obama, and you Keynesians never learn. :palm:

you can't even keep up with your own partisan bullshit

Selective quoting of my post? Bad form yurt.

Cypress: But, its up to Bush voters, the rightwing, and their paranoid enablers to show that Iran is building weapons, before I would think harsh sanctions are merited. I didn't fall for the Iraq bullshit, like so many other did.

Joe Lieberman, and 23 other cowardly democratic senators are the enablers.

So your contention is that Democrats wanted your war as badly as Bush and Bush voters did? Man, Onclear is right about you being a bush apologist. Did 23 Democratic senators vote to enable bush? Yep. But the vast majority of democrats, and the majority of democrats in congress were against your war. These are undeniable facts. I didn't mention political parties, you did.

You and Pimp have yet to explain why I should trust your judgement on Iran, when you got EVERYTHING wrong on Iraq.

You want to embargo Iran? Fine, its up to you to provide concrete and substantial evidence that they are developing nuclear bombs. The IAEA hasn't found any. So, given your, Bush's, and PMP's track record of being horribly wrong, and misleading american into an epically disasterous war, the burden of proof is on you to prove why we need to do this.

can you honestly say you trust a country that actively supports suicide bombers to help maintain balance?.........

I can honestly say that I dont trust anyone who has or wants nuclear technology including and especially the U.S.
I think all nuclear technology should be destroyed. But the cat is out of the bag now. There is no getting rid of it so just to keep everyone on an equal playing feild we should let everyone have it,but give them the warning that a price comes with joining the Nuclear club you become a target for everyone else who also have nuclear technology, and the fact that nuclear energy is far from being cheep clean or safe energy. The leader of Iran is a fool to want it.

This is an irrational fear issue. They are many many years from developing even enough technology to use uranium as fuel, dispite what they claim.

I am all for slowing the development of the technology when possable, but this is an issue that will not be kept in a box forever.

This Issue has been out of the box for along time. Its just that everyone is afraid to push the Issue. A fear that has kept nuclear war from happening for many years. I would hope the Iran's president is not as much of a fool as to not be afraid of it.

Screw Israel. That nation was build by Zionists who were acting to fulfill biblical prophecy, By taking away the land of the nation of Palestine who were there long before they were.

 Ignoring the fact that the Jews lived there too. It's like people think that no Jews were there when Israel was created.

The UN created a compromise solution giving Israel the territory that was almost 100% populated by Jews and Palestinians their own nation in the area mostly populated by Palestinians... The Palestinians rejected this solution, Israel went into overdrive and simply took it all...

The reality is, a two-nation solution would be the best solution possible.

I'm not saying we should keep propping up Israel, they constantly overstep and overcompensate creating living conditions that are unwarranted and harmful and get in the way of any peaceful solution. I'm just saying that it is revisionist history to pretend that Jews didn't live in the territory before Israel was created.

Cypress just doesn't get it. He's so naive.

That's exactly what teabaggers said about me in the run up to your Iraq war. In retrospect, who's judgement was far more accurate...yours, or mine?

Yurt, I provided substantive answers to your questions, and your only response has been "Democrats did it too!"

When you and the other teabaggers can provide concrete or substantive evidence that Iran is illegally building nuclear bombs, I would consider harsh and punitive sanctions.

Until then, I'm for continuing to keep the IAEA inspectors in the country, and to use diplomatic pressure to get the iranians to increase disclosure and transparency. While there are tactical problems with getting Iran to concede to all areas of transparency that the IAEA wants, progress has been made. And hopefully, more progress will be made.

I see no evidence of this impending, or future nuclear attack from Iran on Kansas City, that teabagging fearmongers want me to see.

And, lets be honest. Billy Boy Clinton used the inspectors in Iraq to illegally spy on Iraq's military facilities, and provide the US with bomb targeting information. So, while I despise the theocratic iranian regime, we also have to accept some blame for why the iranians don't trust us and why they are hesitant about increasing the scope and intrusiveness of IAEA inspections.
