Does religion make people stupid?

What have you read, regarding the religious beliefs of Native Americans, besides the article you posted?
I have several friends who are native American. They revere nature but never say anything as stupid as they worship the sun.

So far, I presented first hand testimony about the ritual. You posted a website produced by someone I do not know. What makes them the authority?
The fact that a few native Americans YOU know don't see the ceremony as religious doesn't undo the reality of how the ceremony originated. It also doesn't undo the long history of natives, across North America, practicing religions that have sun gods.

Again, the Lutheran school probably doesn't want non-Christians, especially those who actively perform Pagan ceremonies.

The family made their choices. The school made its choices.

I said they do not worship the sun. I am beginning to think you are a troll.
Apart of their religion is the existence of a Sun god and his wife. This family participated in a ceremony based on that Sun god and his wife - Changing Woman.

Stereotypes are entertaining, but are not conducive to truth.

I'm not a Lutheran myself, but the Lutherans let me participate in some of their fellowship groups. In these discussion groups we have discussed quantum mechanics, Taoist philosophy, Chinese Confucianism, literature, and science.

The people in these Lutheran fellowship groups are on balance more intelligent and cordial than practically anything you will find on Just Plain Politics dot com.

Like your suggestion earlier that all Southerners are cousins.

LOL. I bet that's the most hilarious discussion group known to mankind. Do they let you bring your Google machine?

THEY are probably more intelligent. You are hardly worthy of the appellation, Mr. Google AI who does his own research on YouTube.

Do you pout at them when they don't just accept that Noted Atheist Scholar Bart Ehrman agrees with you?
