so much for not raiding med marijuana places

it doesn't change a single thing i said, i believe obama should repudiate the agent publicly as obama has been quite public about this, but i understand hacks like you feel it is not necessary as this is just some lone agent out there talking only for himself....

if the agent recants, i am fairly confident someone high up on obama's admin told him to stfu...this has nothing to do with hating obama, i guess in dunceler world, holding politicians to their promises is hating them.....

you're sick in the head dude and please, keep bumping the thread so we can see how low your reading comprehension is! i'm still laughing that you thought i was actually asking SF because i didn't know, whoo boy, what a hoot you are.....

Yeah - I'm sure you're laughing your head off.

Judging by your posts, I'd say your beet-red right now, and pounding on your keyboard. Like I said before; this is really fun.

Go back to your very first reaction on this thread (and, as we all know, this was a reaction before you looked up anything on the internet regarding this topic). "Obama lied."

I don't really have to say more. It's ODS, and a bad case of it, by the looks of things.

more onceler lies, i read about the story before i commented on it, i've also repeatedly told you this isn't the ONLY issue, but you continue to be dishonest because you can't actually defend what obama is doing and what his agents are saying, so you attack me.....

boring hack behavior and you know it, you just like getting a rise out of me because you can't actually debate me without lying or getting extremely pissy and angry....you mostly garner just laughs of ridicule and then pity from me....what a pitiful life you lead if this what turns you on....

anyone who reads this thread can see where you start devolving into primarily ad homs with little or no debate....poor onceler

obama lied

seems to be quite the theme with obama, say one thing, do another

Here it is - very first reaction.

Yeah; I'm sure you weren't talking about this particular incident.

Isn't it a bummer when your own words pwn you?

:good4u:

Try to stop hating...

Outstanding; so now, we're back to square one.

If you WERE talking about this particular incident, you were incriminating Obama without even knowing (by your own admission) what the facts were, and if the agent was violating the policy or if the guy was licensed.

You just keep digging deeper. Like I said, your own words....

:)

are you piss drunk or are you just a habitual liar? this is 3 times in a row you have outright lied about what i said....from my post above:

i read about the story before i commented on it

the OP link from from where i read it about it before i commented, had the agents quotes about the policy,...

further, i already said repeatedly i was talking about this incident, why you are acting like this is a gotcha ("WERE") is simply bizarre.

you're either drunk off your ass, plain stupid, or so desperate to prove me wrong that you are willing to lie repeatedly about what i said....

which is it?

Ease down, Yurtie.

I really don't see how you arrive at "Obama lied" and "He says one thing, and DOES another," from this incident, before all the facts are out.

But hey, that's just me. I don't hate Obama with every fiber of my being.

Oh, and if you read the article - why were you questioning SF's claim that it was near a school?

Ouch. Better "re-read" the article from the OP there, Yurt....

Hyperbole or pooring gas on a fire. Spurt you got your ass handed to you. You a lawyer, show me a state law that allows 100 plants. Most are 6, 12, and I believe the highest i've seen is 25. If there's a state allowing 100, I'm moving there.

Why are you guys accepting these bullshit excuses? The state of Colorado is perfectly capable of enforcing their own laws and, frankly, better suited for the job.

And who gives a crap that a school is nearby? What, if the kids see this guy tending his plants will it warp their fragile little minds?

"Technically, every dispensary in the state is in blatant violation of federal law," he said. "The time is coming when we go into a dispensary, we find out what their profit is, we seize the building and we arrest everybody. They're violating federal law; they're at risk of arrest and imprisonment."

Matt Brown, executive director of the pro-dispensary Coloradans for Medical Marijuana Regulation, said Sweetin's statements are troubling. Brown argued that the federal memo's hands-off order covers everyone in compliance with their state's medical-marijuana laws, a group Brown said includes dispensaries in Colorado. Brown said Friday's raid highlights the need for lawmakers to create clear rules for how dispensaries should operate.

"All we're trying to do is follow the rules," he said.

Obama's policy may be making things worse by adding more confusion. If they are violating state law, let the locals take care of it. The President is not authorized to enforce state laws.

Sweetin said he was also concerned because the grow was occurring in a residential neighborhood near an elementary school, and the power needed to grow marijuana can be a safety hazard. All those details factored into his decision to send agents to the home, he said.

Gimme a break. There is far more power needed to run the school itself.

I don't think it's making excuses at all. While I support the legalization of marijuana beyond medical use, Obama's policy is strictly for medical marijuana, and is pretty specific; there is nothing about anything that is happening that has indicated he has broken that promise in any way, pending the attorney general's review of the whole incident.

Here are a few more details on the policy:

"The policy in question, laid out in a three-page memo in October, states that authorities shouldn’t target people in clear compliance with state laws on medical marijuana. It also stated that agents should still be on the lookout for those posing as medical marijuana operators but marketing pot illegally. Indicators that people aren’t in compliance with the law, according to the memo, include amounts of marijuana and financial gains inconsistent with business approved by state law."

His statements to the media were stupid, and from a cursory glance, he could be in violation on the latter 2 points. We'll see how it plays out....

It is making excuses. From what I have found, Obama stayed vague in his comments on raids in MM states on the campaign trail. It would be easy to argue he did not technically lie or break any promise, so I won't bother with that. But he implied something different.

More importantly, his policy is stupid. The DEA, a federal law enforcement agency, should enforce state laws but not the federal laws? They have no business enforcing state laws.

The DEA should conduct a raid only if the pot crosses state lines. I could possibly see if the local/state law enforcement agencies asked for support, but the DEA should not lead the raid.

Next they will be saying they won't raid if the grow house does not violate state law or any local building codes/zoning ordinances. That's almost what they seem to be saying in this case with the nonsense about proximity to the school and power usage.

What law did these guys violate? No arrests, but they were still raided by the DEA.

http://blogs.westword.com/latestword/2010/01/medical_marijuana_bill_about_d.php

Yesterday, Betty Aldworth, director of outreach for Full Spectrum Laboratories, a marijuana testing facility, was at the State Capitol to watch lab co-owner Bob Winniki testify about Senator Chris Romer's just-introduced bill dealing with the relationship between doctors and medical marijuana patients.

But before Winniki could speak, the twosome received an e-mail letting them know members of the Drug Enforcement Administration had stopped by the lab. And by the time they got back to the facility, Aldworth says, "it was full of DEA agents" and other local law-enforcement types, who spent the next several hours seizing all the marijuana testing samples they could find.

That is extremely ambiguous. But my main point is that the policy is stupid. The Feds should not be enforcing state laws.

I wouldn't argue with that, and - as someone who favors legalization - I'd like to see things go a lot further than they are. The Feds were raiding at a clip of about 30 MM's a year, and the new policy just started in October. At worst, it's a step in the right direction. I definitely expect the Attorney General & the admin to step in if the policy is ignored by local agents. It's not clear in the CO case at all that this is what happened (the case you mentioned above is much less clear - that looks bogus, but I need to read up more on that one...)

:palm:

your reading comprehension is below topspin's

i questioned the distance from the school. let me repeat for the third time as you are apparently simple minded........they didn't need to raid the house to determine if the distance to the school was in compliance with state law. from what i found CO states 1000 feet, what is ambigious in CO is dispensaries.... so, if they were concerned about the distance, they could have verified even just the 1000 feet without a raid.

i questioned SF on the distance because i don't believe he knew about the 1000 feet law that i'm 99% sure exists in CO. he claimed because he lives there he has all this special knowledge, yet he couldn't tell me how far away from the school the guys house actually was.

do you need me to explain further in simpler terms?

lol, your hypocrisy is amazing, you want them to step in, but bash me for wanting obama to repudiate the agents comment on policy....which clearly ignored obama's stated policy

your intellectual dishonesty is sadly not surprising. you will go to any lengths, including dishonesty, just to disagree with and try to get me in some gotcha moment.
