Do you really think that if Israel had no barrier between Gaza and Israel that they'd have been better off or suffered fewer terrorist attacks? It took Hamas years of planning to manage to breakthrough that fence line one time to stage an attack into Israel, and that attack was relatively minor and ineffective. Yes, it did inflict a significant number of civilian casualties at random on Israels in its path, but it had no lasting effect on Israel other than to totally piss them off and get Hamas a major ass kicking in return.Sometimes they work. Sometimes they are counter productive. Gaza is a good example of the last one. The wall there was a complete failure, and then blocked the IDF, so has mostly been torn down.
