Destruction of Massa

^ this the partisan hack crap that doesn't solve or really explain anything...especially when you're saying it in the vein of.....'i'm not partisan'....

to claim, implicitly here, that ONLY dems have minds of their owns is really and empty statement, it has no substance

With regards to this issue, it does...

Please explain to me, minus the partisan rhetoric if possible, why, out of all the Republican congressmen and women from all across the nation, from cities and neighborhoods that cover everything and everyone from one end of the diversity spectrum to the other, with opinions as varied as the colors of the rainbow, why there wasn't ONE single Republican Congressman or Senator who voted FOR healthcare reform.

are you really asking me to give you the opinions of every single republican congressman and senator?

:palm:

they've gone on record and stated why, and you can write them and ask them yourself. if you read or watched the so called h/c summit and the republican's invite of obama, then IMO, you have a good idea of why they did not. there are goign to be individual reasons as to why some did not, republicans do not vote in lock stop.

now, in general, why don't you think a single one voted for it? and leave out the partisan crap, if possible

I understand you think Democrats are exactly like Republicans, little automatons who do exactly as told by party officials and vote in lockstep with the rest of the party, but the Democratic party is made up of individuals who have MINDS OF THEIR OWN and think for themselves.
Again. Blaming ineffective party politics on the republicans is just a joke. Supermajorities in both houses dude. You have no way to legitimately blame republicans for your own party's ineffective mess. You can try to excuse it with "minds of their own", etc. but the reality is you had what it took to not only pass legislation, but to shove it down the R's throats.

I did watch the h/c summit...most of it anyway, and you are right. On TV each and every one of them had "an excuse" to oppose reform. Do I believe their excuses? Most yes, but just as there were principled Dems who opposed this for one reason or another, there have to be a few on the Right who were for this bill, but for one reason or another they bowed to party higher-ups and voted no.

And I'm sure if I wrote them and asked why, they'd all have very good reasons, because really, do you really believe they would write me back and say, "thanks for your letter, I am opposed to this bill because the party chairman tells me to be?"

thanks for your not unexpected partisan rhetoric answer. you call it an excuse, this shows you have no desire to actually discuss the issue, because any reason given will be labeled an excuse by you. yet when dems are opposed, they are "principled" and have "reasons"....and if a repub didn't want the bill....they bowed down to a higher up....

you did exactly what i said you did above and asked you (just like you asked me) not to do....you gave a complete partisan crap answer. until you are willing to admit they have their reasons and address them, instead of being a hack and summarily calling them excuses and then falsely claiming no repub thinks for themselves, don't bother responding.
