An example of government over regulation

Awwwwww....the little child is scared of CHEMICALS!

Guess what, Sybil? ALL food is chemicals!
youre smart except for this piece of idiocy.

we should eat poison because "all food is chemicals".

it;s ok to be pro health now because Trump has RFKJr.

you don't have to be an anti-human neocon anymore.

it's safe to be good now.

NOT ONE THING.

You clowns can't think of a goddamn thing he did that made this country better. Every single thing he did FAILED. Every. Single. Thing.

His tax cuts caused a recession.
Tax cuts do not cause a recession. DEMOCRATS and their Covid Hoax caused an economic depression.
His tariffs caused a $30B bailout that will never be paid back.
A tariff is not a bailout.
He called COVID a hoax.
Democrat fear mongering over Covid is a hoax.
He tried to overthrow the government.
You are describing DEMOCRATS again, Sybil.
FAILURE. In every regard. Not one single thing to campaign on, not one single thing of merit.
You should go read his campaign platform, Sybil. He published it, you know.
Just like Conservatism, Trump has NOTHING but failure after failure after failure.
Denial of history.
Eisenhower is the last Republican President to not leave office amid catastrophe or disgrace. And he would be a Democrat today.
You don't get to speak for the dead, Sybil.

"it's embedded in the price. like you people keep saying.

it will become unprofitable to be an importer.

domestic production will soar." --- Lao Tse
Well, at least it will be unprofitable to import certain items from certain countries, which is how tariffs are enacted.
This is a good thing, as it enhances domestic production of that item.

yes. it does.

but I'm sure a blanket tariff policy could be enacted to have speed over devilish details....

:truestory:

Since you either don't know what happened or you do and are lying about it, here's the truth:

Trump put a tariff on goods imported from China, under the stupid belief that the Chinese government was going to write a check or something.
No, only on certain goods imported from China. There is no blanket tariff on China.
Every single Conservative went along with this because not a single one of them knows what tariffs are and who pays them.
I know exactly who pays them. Importers, directly, and China, indirectly (loss of business).
When the tariffs were put in place, this caused domestic importers to pass the increased tariff costs onto the distributors who pass the cost onto the retailer, who passes the cost onto you. In the case of Walmart and Target, it was direct since both those companies have their own importing business.
Most items sold at Walmart and Target are domestic manufacture.
So you didn't tax China, you taxed American companies who then passed the costs of those taxes onto us.
I suppose it never occurred to you that China also has tariffs on US exports to China?

That is one of the dumbest posts ever. Completely wrong because you have near-zero understanding of tariffs and the economy. Tariffs are paid for by consumers.
So?
TheAmericans cannot simply start making the goods here.
They certainly can.
The time line is long and costs are huge.
Argument from randU fallacy.
It was American owners who moved our manufacturing abroad for low unprotected wages and no environmental regulation.
Some did, some didn't.
Thre are over 200 countries. They will find another one that will allow them to despoil.
Buzzword fallacy (despoil).

yes. it does.

but I'm sure a blanket tariff policy could be enacted to have speed over devilish details....

:truestory:
It could, but no blanket tariff was enacted against China. The 'deviish details' as you put it, are in the tariff law itself.
As you already know, Congress has no problem putting such details into any law! :D

there's different ways to specify products and nations.

nothing is undoable.

stop with your dumb bullshit.
