Have you ever thought that the real problem is you? I remember a time when it was OK to have a different world view. But somehow your side can't just disagree, you have to ascribe nefarious motives.

I would argue that I care more about the Constitution than most leftists; including yourself do. Out of the two of us, who is most wanting to adhere to the EXACT words of the Constitution as written? Out of the two of us who believes the US Constitution is a "living document" that can be changed on a whim?

As far as caring for others, you should be ashamed of yourself. You think because I don't outsource my charity to the government like you do that makes me less charitable?

I seem to remember a number of years ago when a hurricane came through your area, you bragged about still having power at your offices while others did not. Did you offer up your place for others to get a respite from the heat? No, you did not. In fact you even bragged about taking your kids to Universal or Disney, I can't remember which. So spare me your crocodile tears, I have the receipts.

This whole concern for democracy goes as far as Democrats winning power. Nothing more than that.

If I saw Democrats making at least a modicum of an effort to call out their own party when they do or say anti democratic things then I could acknowledge an element of principle. But most can’t even do that.

You want to win and there’s nothing wrong with that. But this whole “pro democracy” thing is readily transparent

I disagree, there are times when Democrats do things that are anti-democratic, and that is wrong and I am not okay with it, but this is about trump and a group of people who dismiss the entire element of anti-democratic, and seem to relish it. They love it.

Constantly attacking and being okay with others attacking anything to do with Latin people, for example the calling of Puerto Rico an island of garbage...

Using the term Mexicans, to describe Americans who happen to have Mexican roots is another example.

The entire January 6th thing went WAY beyond any small antidemocratic rhetoric some democrats have engaged in. You are blind if you cannot see that it is an entire new level only happening (at the presidential level) with trump.

The only reason we do not have universal health care or good public education is because there is a huge element that does not want "their" money going to people they do not consider Americans, AKA Americans of English blood.

And when we stop tolerating that element and put them in their place,
we'll become great as we should be.

Until then, we're a work in process, and if Trump wins this time, we won't get there in any of our lifetimes.
