Count & report heavy Dem areas first

That is already addressed by provisional ballots. People who vote early by mail have their ballots opened and checked when they come in. If there is a problem, they are notified and they must show up on election day to vote.

Here we must sign the outside of the envelope that our ballot is in. If the signature doesn't match that on file, you are notified and given a chance to come to the voting office to perfect it. If you don't, it is discarded. They cannot open/count ballots until election day. The envelopes with the ballots are entered into the state's election database, which you can access to make sure that yours was received and logged.

Great idea. Then they can discard all those late-arriving absentee ballots that come from our service ppl stationed overseas. They typically vote (R) anyways. You're so brilliant!
Plus, aside from the strain on large city polling places it puts the election in the hands of ballot counters. Not hard to imagine the possibilities for getting things wrong.

Some states have inner security envelopes with other info. Whereas that envelope isn't opened until counting, the info on said envelope is checked. Perhaps for privacy concerns, all info is on the inner envelope?

The idea of an election is tabulating the votes, all of them. Sometimes this has taken days to complete. The goal is to get the result correctly; what difference does a day or two make? None whatsoever except to a candidate who sees an advantage in stopping the count.

How fucking difficult would it be to have votes in by the time the polls close?
I normally agree with TBird...and often disagree with you, BUT...

...on this particular issue, I agree with you, RB.

I had my ballot in a month ago, because I wanted it to count. If a person waits until the last minute to submit his/her ballot...and it is rejected as late...FINE WITH ME. The next election that person should realize that waiting until the last minute is a stupid thing to do.

They can certainly repeat the lie, as long as they don't concoct stories about an individual company or person. Rudy The Drunk is being evicted from his NYC apt. because it now belongs to the two Ga. poll workers!

I love karma. lol

Yeah, Fox's method of "journalism" is telling outright lies, prefaced by "We're hearing that...." "It's being said that...." The gullible dupes that are their viewership take it as gospel w/o verification.

I am 100% against counting illegal ballots but IF a ballot is in question it should be looked at by the poll workers , at least one from each party and a decision if it is legal or not should be made.
Not just tossing them out because one poll worker thinks they are illegal.
Or letting them in because one election worker wants it in.

Ok. For starters, how about kicking off the ballot a sitting ("sharp as a tack") president who was (voted for in the primary) running for reelection and installing a candidate of only a few donor's selection?
the democrats have destroyed their own party with their hubris.

Looks like the Democrats took away AMERICANS CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT of the people to vote in their primary (even after they voted on and selected their candidate).

Looks that way, huh? I guess I missed where in The Constitution is the part on the "right of the people to vote in a primary". Where will I find it?

As it should be.
If it is in the mail and post marked on election day it SHOULD be counted.
