Honestly, people who know how to shop are not suffering at the grocery store. Perhaps NY is better off than other states, but I'm basically stealing food and putting it in my freezer. I don't expect the people who are screeching about prices to know how to shop. Unless trump believes that POTUS has the power to regulate corporate profits, this isn't ending anytime soon. Especially since the stock market runs in inverse proportion to the wellbeing of the average consumer.

I am trying to point out to these MAGA MORONS that think Trump's Tariffs are going to be paid by the Country that makes the goods we buy
They are NOT paying it , it is the AMERICAN CONSUMER that pays the Tariffs. and it WILL drive up the cost of EVERYTHING we buy.
Trumps Tariffs are going to drive the cost of EVERYTHING up and it is going to hurt and hurt the low income and middle income people BIG time.
And the Maga will try to say it is inflation , they cried about 6. 7. 8 % inflation I wonder just how much they are going to cry when the cost of everything we import from any place goes UP 20 % or MORE , What is it Trump wants a Tariff of over 60 % on Mexican good some up to 100%.
NO the AMERICAN CONSUMER is the one that ends up paying these tariffs NOT the exporting countries.

Example EXXON, they have been making RECORD profits YEAR OVER YEAR for something like the last 4 years and blaming the increase in the price of gas on inflation.
They have been making BILLIONS and BILLIONS in profits for as I said the last 4 or 5 years now.
And the right wing / MAGA MORONS cried about , but it was okay with them those large Corps were ripping the AMERICAN people off.
And just wait till Trump puts tariffs of 20% OR more on EVERYTHING we import Goods that we buy EVERYDAY .
And now add in the 200% tariffs on some Mexican / Chinese good that IS / WILL kill the economy of the USA and drive prices UP and cause a deep recession / Depression like we have NEVER known

It is actually very simple. It isn't like when the unemployment rate is 8% and it only impacts part of society. While that can be devastating, not everyone is impacted. Inflation on the other hand impacts EVERYONE. Doesn't matter who you are. And leftists saying "Well, inflation is now down from 9% to 2.4%" while correct completely misses the point. Yes the rate of growth is down, but prices are STILL HIGH. People are still feeling it.

Inflation is a killer for an incumbent, just ask Jimmah Carter, who by the way must be pissed that they kept him alive for this.

What is really sad is that the friendly View gave Harris an out with a softball question when they asked her what she would do differently, sure I know that people think that it shows weakness by saying you would have done something different. Or maybe she would have been accused of showing disloyalty, but had she created distance between herself and Biden on that one issue, she might have had a chance. But, she dug in and it cost her the White House.
