It's kinda distracting me. I don't actually believe the Left "lost" this election so much as the Right WON it soundly. I can't understand how it happened but America wanted this. And I'm also told the Left are often "out of touch" with the common person. This just sort of highlights that as a fair hit.

No one denies that entertainers "work" and they often work quite hard. But it isn't the same thing. Not even close.

I was once sitting in a corporate meeting when they introduced the new VP of this-or-that, a young man who had been on the rise up the company at rocket speed for a while now. He attempted to "connect" with us rank and file by telling us the "charming" story of when he got the call telling him he was now Vice President of North American Whatzitstuff: "I was on vacation with my family in Tahiti when I got the call! LOL, I was walking back and forth on the beach talking to the CEO and he was telling me....blahblahblahblah....." Gah. Give us a break so we can vomit in peace.

The real iceberg that is coming STRAIGHT for America is that we are now in greater levels of income inequality than what we had in the Gilded Age. That's not a long-term stable system. It will blow up some day. And it won't be pretty.
