Randi Weingarten Supports Trumps Labor Secretary Pick

I've seen it all now. As Fred G. Sanford said, "I'm coming to see you Elizabeth, this is the big one".

Trump picked pro union, anti worker Lori Chavez DeRemer for Secretary of Labor and Randi Weingarten is celebrating it. (I've seen a number of #MAGA folks celebrate it to because they think it will win over more union workers).

This whole right/left paradigm we've all known is shifting right below our feet. Unreal.

That alone tells me Trump needs to rethink this choice.

I post on a college football board that ultimately ends up talking a lot of politics (it's heavy pro #MAGA). A number of people there like the pick because they think the Republican Party is now the party of the working class and this will help get more union voters.

To me, politically speaking, Randi Weinarten is the face of evil. Nor is this some area of mutual agreement we've found. It's a bad pick.

Assuming it's a USC board, I'm surprised it's heavy pro maga.

I should be more specific. I’m on two boards.

One is a USC board and that one is basically all football and any time politics get brought up the thread usually gets locked. (And you are correct, the few times politics leak out it’s pretty diverse in thought.)

The other board is a general college football board where politics gets discussed much more often. That one is far more white and southern, thus the heavy pro #MAGA contingent.

A seismic shift in voters. The Democrats have lost the working class... Spending more than three times as much as their opponent to get elites to promote them seems to have worked just as well as some folks predicted it would.
