They didn't declare that Trump lost the popular vote. Just that he wasn't over 50%.

I get that MAGA has a guilty conscience about what happened in the last election, and how Trump couldn't man up & concede, or call Kamala, or meet with her. So far, we've seen Democrats honor our traditions and behave in a much more grown-up fashion, and I expect that to continue.
