hopefully they make this a positive new government bureaucracy, unlike medicare...unfortunately, we have YEARS to wait to see what good it does, as it doesn't take affect for YEARS

I'm thinking if we make some gains in 2012 we can bring a public option on board before the bill even really takes effect.
 
I am so disapointed in Americans that this was harder to get done than the War against Iraq!

I honestly have no idea. That's just how legislation works. Like a lot of things, it may have some sort of practical purpose, bit probably also political purposes, so that it doesn't complicate Obama's 2012 run.

This isn't entirely the end of things. We could still screw up on the reconciliation bill, in which case Obama may very well decide to veto the standalone senate bill.
 
Bottom line: the insurance companies are going to clean up...especially in the next 4 years....but they are pissed because they are being made to toe the line in a few aspects.

Bottom line: this bill is swiss cheese....but it's better than no cheese at all.

The neocon driven GOP made this Obama's Waterloo....only they didn't realize that Bohner and DeMint were vying for the role of Bonaparte! Man, the anti-Obama lies and BS rhetoric is going to go into overdrive now....much to my entertainment!
