Sorry, the Ray Epps fantasy remains fantasy. The report has been misrepresented online as exposing FBI wrongdoing when, in fact, it clears the Bureau. There were no embedded agents. The dufus who posted this thread probably took his take on it from those misleading social media postings.

Our review 4 concluded that none of these three FBI CHSs were authorized to enter the Capitol or a restricted area, or to otherwise break the law on January 6, nor was any CHS directed by the FBI to encourage others to commit illegal acts on January 6. In addition to these 3 CHSs, we found that 23 other FBI CHSs were in DC on January 6 in connection with the events planned for January 6.3 None of these FBI CHSs were authorized to enter the Capitol or a restricted area, or to otherwise break the law on January 6, nor was any CHS directed by the FBI to encourage others to commit illegal acts on January 6. We determined that of the 26 CHSs who were in DC on January 6 in connection with the events of January 6, 4 entered the Capitol during the riot; an additional 13 entered the restricted area around the Capitol, which was a security perimeter established in preparation for the January 6 Electoral Certification; and 9 neither entered a restricted area nor entered the Capitol or otherwise engaged in illegal activity. None of the CHSs who entered the Capitol or a restricted area has been prosecuted to date.4 The WFO did not know that a total of 26 CHSs would be in DC for the events of January 6 because only 4 field offices had informed the WFO or FBI Headquarters that CHSs under the relevant field office’s jurisdiction—5 CHSs in total—would be traveling to DC on January 6.

According to the report, there were 26 FBI confidential informants within the crowd on Jan 6. None of them were authorized to be present. 4 of these persons entered the Capitol building itself and 13 more entered restricted areas around the Capitol.

So, yes, there were FBI agents of a sort present, none of which were authorized to be there. Further, none has faced prosecution for their actions as the FBI admits.

Except they weren't agents, or even supposed to be there. Also no evidence or even the suggestion that they participated in or encouraged any violence or other law breaking.

They were there, regardless. They were, and probably still are, paid informants working for the FBI. That some entered the Capitol building, while others entered restricted areas, is sufficient to warrant charges as many of those who have been charged--and convicted in most cases--were charged with trespass and being in a restricted area. Yet, none have faced charges for that.
 
I can't remember an event that so many worked so hard to rewrite the history of.
