Hey, here's an idea that will make EVERYONE happy!

In exchange for letting Trump ALTER the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution to eliminate Birthright CItizenship we on the Left can ask for a few minor modifications to the 2nd. Not even eliminating it, just altering it slightly to see if we can moderate the death.

Sounds fair.

Of course "compromise" doesn't compute for many on the Right but this is how things USED to be done in the US. Trading.

My original point (despite the unbearable obtuseness of you dolts) is that the Dems would support the movement to get an amendment to remove birthright citizenship IF the Repubs supported our efforts to make one or two minor modifications to the wording of the 2nd (via yet another amendment).

No amendment can change any earlier amendment, Sybil. No part of the Constitution grants citizenship to illegal aliens or any children they might have.
