that Trump actual commences a 25% Trump on Canada, as much chance it will be on then off then on then something else as most of his promises
 
Still no news if Trump is going to put his tariffs on.
Maybe he doesn't have the balls or he will be really stupid and do it. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Yes it should be higher on China.
But any tariffs this high are going to hurt the American consumer.
The exporting countries are just going to pass them on so our prices will go up.
It is the consumer in the end that pays.

Yes, suddenly the drones ALL seem to admit the realities of taxes. This alone is worth paying the tariffs. I imagine we'll never hear how we need to tax the evil corporations and the wealthy so they pay their fair share. NEVER. Because if you raise corporate taxes the only ones that suffer are the consumers not the BIG EVIL CORPORATE FAT CATS. LOL I suspect I'm getting all excited for nothing, Once the libtards figure out the next thing to get all triggered about they'll forget what they learned about taxes.

So good to have a top economist like you to tell us that high tariffs are going to hurt the American consumer. I'm
going to take Trump and his team's decisions on placing tariffs on these countries as being what's best for America
and for our economy over that of your inexperience concerning this tariff strategy. Much of Trump's strategy of
placing tariffs on Canada and Mexico is to get them to secure their borders from any more of biden's illegals
from entering our country. Once they comply, then and only then will the tariffs be reduced and therefore you
can stop crying about tariffs.

I haven't got any idea where you are getting this BS from I am a left leaning ind. that doesn't like high taxes but I do stand behind a lot of federal programs that help the poor. low income workers and these tariffs will be passed on and higher prices will hurt them a lot more then the upper middle class and the rich.
And it takes taxes to pay for these needed programs ,
When corp. taxes go up they get added to the price of goods sold and are spread over all goods sold by the corp.adding pennies to those costs.
And it doesn't hurt the lower working class as much as a 25% or more tariff will.
Again we have to remember these are tariffs of 25% or more that will drive the price of everything we buy up.
Inflation under Biden did go up and it hurt a lot of people but we have to remember some of it was caused by COVID these tariffs are being put on on purpose and are not inflation.

I see YOU haven't bothered to read what some of the top economists have been telling us what they believe will happen.
Maybe you should and learn something from some of the top people in the field.
besides gas what price of a good that we buy ever goes back down to where it was before it was increased?
Not many,
Gas does because we buy it on the world market and prices go up and down all the time.
And as I said IMO large stores may add another percent or two to the price and pad their bottom line and blame it all on the tariffs.
Time will tell.

An example of passing corp. tax increase on and having it spread over the sale of many goods would be like Ford having it's corp. tax go up 100,000 dollars , if the only sold 1000 cars the price of each car would increase 100 dollars to cover it, but they sell thousands a year so the price of those cars would only go up a dollar or so, not a lot.
Adding a tariff of 25% to the material that makes those cars and crosses the border several times in the process will add thousands to each car.
I believe Ford has already said these tariffs will drive the price of cars up thousands, causing sales to drop, people being laid off and it could cause a deep recession / depression.
Some top economists have already come out and said this could happen,

Right now Trump is using tariffs to force countries to treat America as fairly as we treat them. We'll see what the result turns out to be. Canada's trying very hard to act tough right now, but they'll be losing their asses if they don't smarten up and we have lots of options to mitigate the added expenses. It gets a little complicated, certainly too complicated for drones. Time will tell, but I know you won't give it time, that was a joke.

ALL of our US auto companies make parts for the cars they build here in Mexico and Canada, having worked in the auto industry making parts for a US auto maker and dealing with plants in Canada I can tell you some of those parts cross the border several times before being put on a car, and if they are taxed every time they cross it will drive up the cost of a US car by thousands of dollars.
As I pointed out Ford has already come out and said it could raise the price of one of their cars by thousands.
You right wingers cried like babies because Obama ran the debt up 8 Trillion dollars in EIGHT YEARS and after Trump cut those taxes he ran it up almost as much in FOUR YEARS and you MAGAS didn't say a word about that.
IF Trump does put his tariffs on it won't be a JOKE. it will hit EVERY US consumer and hurt our economy.

Why? China was built into a manufacturing power by the American corporations to make as much money as they could in as short a time as possible. They moved there to get richer and it worked. The wealthy, like Trump, do not care about America or its workers. It is a world market and making China richer developed an enormous customer base.
Trump and Ivanka made their overpriced trinkets in China. That should have told all Americans something. Not you though. Trump can do no wrong to you.
Tariffs are stupid. It is very difficult to find an economist who thinks Trump's belief in tariffs is correct. They raise prices on imports. We depend on other nations for many products, including food.
Trump is a disaster due to his greed and his stupidity,
