Not many,
Gas does because we buy it on the world market and prices go up and down all the time.
And as I said IMO large stores may add another percent or two to the price and pad their bottom line and blame it all on the tariffs.

Relax... I'm sure there are people here in a panic....They'll go out and buy a new stove in fear that they will not be able to afford one in six months... But for the most part , everybody is fine.... They understand that changes are coming and that it will take time for everything to level out... The alternative was much worse , so we're good....

Well said. Isn't the whole point of tariffs to bring manufacturing back to America?

What the MAGATs don't seem to grok, and neither does their #BankruptBozo, is that once an industry is defunct in a country, it takes a long time to bring it back. We can use a clothing factory for an example. They need to be built. They need to be stocked with the equipment needed to make shirts, jeans, etc. They need staff. Staff needs training. American staff are not going to work for what stafF in China works for, so there is additional expense for salary and benefits. That pair of sweat pants you can buy today at Target for $20 won't be available for a couple more years, and when they are, they are going to cost $40 o $50 or more.

I probably should have used shoes or plasticware as better examples. China lost a lot of its fabric and clothing market due to the above factors. Most of the clothing sold in the U.S. now comes from Pakistan, Vietnam, Guatemala, Sri Lanka, etc.

I expect though that in six months she'll still be defending the Gropingfuehrer when she has to beg the local food pantry to have enough to eat because inflation is even worse.
