Obama: gay partners should have hospital access

I bet deep down this story just warms the hearts of SM and PimP. Serves them queers right for trying to play house and such.

I doubt PMP is as thrilled as SM. I have no doubt that SM started smiling while reading the article.

Not at all. Their bleeding heart liberal California county government screwed them royally.

It ignored the POA. Is CA the only place that will ignore a POA? Is it the only place that bigots can ignore what gays want and have prepared for?

Yeah, but they are abnormal queers so who cares right. You possess not an ounce of compassion for people you find perverse, regardless of whether or not they hurt anyone. For you the command to love thine enemies is seed on rock, it bears no fruit at all.

Actually, I have no compassion for folks who lie. Like those who tell me that queer is normal.

You two need to get together on how to play this. Either I have no compassion or I'm a bigot. I can't be both. :D

Why would you say that? Being a bigot and having no compassion are not the same thing, nor are they mutually exclusive.

Your lack of compassion is obvious. And I have shown you to be a bigot on numerous occasions.

The difference is that I treat people equally based on their actions. I do not treat one group a certain way because of a set of traits, and then ignore those same traits in others.

I have changed my opinion on issues several times. I have admitted I was wrong numerous times.

You want one set of standards for gays, and wish to not allow them to marry based on criteria that is never used against straights.

That is why I have called you a bigot on numerous occasions. Do you have any examples of my bigotry?

Good decision on Obama's part, but it does not go far enough! Im not particularly impressed.

obviously the county violated the law and these men's rights.....that doesn't mean the law is invalid......

The fact that they were unable to marry, despite being excellent examples of what the institution of marriage should be, contributed to this.

The fact that the county was able to represent them as "just roommates" was a key part of this screwing.

I don't understand these stupid rules to begin with. Shouldn't people in those circumstances be able to have whomever they wish with them in the room? I don't care if it's Auntie Pogo or their boyfriend, girlfriend, the guy/girl they've been cheating with, their next door neighbor, their sister's ex college roommate, Darth Vader, Richard Simmons, Dr. Phil, some random stranger they just met... I just don't care, the patient should be able to have whomever they want visit them.

The hospital shouldn't be deciding this kind of thing, nor legislators. There can be no group less capable of "helping" me make this decision than those in government.

I belive the problem opens up when the person is beyond the ability to make a conshous decision.
