Ukrainian MP just called for Ukraine’s Parliament to initiate IMPEACHMENT Proceedings against President Zelensky after the Oval Office shouting match.

Can somebody who is no longer president be impeached ? Zelensky's term is long expired.

That is just stupid. It is much easier to make a dirty bomb out of the materials in a functioning nuclear reactor than a destroyed one. Ukraine has plenty of functioning nuclear reactors.

The main thing prevent a quick and permanent peace is that Putin wants to control all of Ukraine, and Ukraine does not want to be invaded. Putin might settle for a brief ceasefire, if Ukraine promises to disarm, and it becomes easier for Russia to invade in the future.

Putin wants a European security deal where Russians and Russian speakers are not abused.

That's It.....over a lot of years they were clear they did not want any of Ukraine...this that we have now is what the dying West has demanded.

Which is tragic.
 
To be far almost to the last Swamp Rat there was no thought that the Russians could or would resist....and even less that they would kick our ass.

Let's see if he meant it, I say he'll cling to power as long as possible. I think it's life or a very 'not nice' life if he fails to keep power. We'll see what happens.

You do know Crimea is part of Ukraine, right? And that Pootie took it because they threatened to raise the rent on Sevastopol. You know what Sevastopol is, right?

No, Crimea is Russian. Remember the Crimean War ? Crimea was ILLEGALLY given to Ukraine by the Russian president, Krushev, in 1951. He was drunk and there was no quorum in the Grand Presidium. Krushev was Ukrainian.

Disbelieve it if you must- but Crimea is again Russian- forever.

Depends on how far you want to go back in world history. Do you think that is why pro Putin, Hot Mic Obama gave Pootie the Crimea and Donbas?

It is interesting but irrelevant. The Russian Federation recognized Crimea as being a part of Ukraine in 1991 in the Belovezha Accords, as well as in 1994 in the Budapest Memorandum.
