Zelensky was set up and ambushed.This was typical, Trumpic, premeditated theatrics. Vance has his lines to say and then he and Trump gang up on him with the old "gish gallop" that they used in debates- not letting Zelensky talk. Zelensky is a real hero, so it was hard to watch the two shameless cowards lay into him. It's just more evidence that Trump is Putin's puppet. He's planning on selling out Ukraine, at the same time he's trashing our country.

I agree with you to a point. I myself think it WAS a set up. But I believe it was Z and some BEHIND THE SCENES nefarious American cohorts attempting to set up Trump. They failed,.......BIGLY

This is however the sort of thing Trump, the fabulous sizer up of people, sometimes does.....light a fuse under someone he wants to blow up....in this case in a most spectacular fashion with loads of cameras on.

Some think that Trump, the guy who wants to end this lost cause war, will use the Z blowup as the reason to shut down weapons to Ukraine and Starlink.
 
You could almost see the blood dripping out of the mouth of that witch Kaitlan Colllins from CNN. Just sickening to watch. She absolutely could not contain the GLEE in her eyes in having done her part of helping ignite the fire that absolutely will lead to snuffing out the lives of many Ukranians and Russians that did not have to be. These are truly sick people,....beyond sick actually,...more like pure un adulterated EVIL. I encourage everyone to go re watch it and focus on her,....its THERE.

trump said what he said, because that is the person he is. There was no attempt to trick him into saying stupid things in front of the press. he could have said them to Zelenskyy in private, but chose not to. he did it in front of the cameras to try to force Zelenskyy to go along.

It is silly to blame anyone else but trump for what trump did.

Trump did nothing but hold to the exact same promises he has been campaigning on....to help end the war quickly. Z threw a monkey wrench onto it,...unfortunately now he and his people will pay the price.

It was indeed explosive...I didn't love how it unfolded publicly, but I also didn't hate it....Our President and VP stood up for America...It was not an "ambush"...some might wish that to be true, but no...
Zelensky made a number of unforced errors...that won't won't happen again... And He now knows that it's not Joe he's dealing with...
(He's still in the US, isn't he? Language is also a problem, IMHO...:))

The drain on our treasury and the horrible loss of life is near its end.

The apology to President Trump will be private and the war will end.

I have been told that he is headed to Kiev. Z it seems was in full meltdown because Trump took the mineral idea, which was originally a Z idea, first mentioned I think in Sep........and turned it against Z.....humiliating him.

Z thought this was a cleaver strategy to convince America to arm Ukraine for as far as they eyes can see in return for a raping of Ukraine ala Rape of Russia.....then Trump took that underhanded manipulation attempt had him set up to sign everything away for nothing.

I repeat Nothing.

Scott Ritter on Ask the Inspector says that Trump absolutely blew Z up on purpose....what happened was exactly what Trump wanted to happen.

Did he say why? I'm doubtful...but then, then I have never understood why a person would go out of their way to start try to start a firestorm, but if you hang out here, you'll observe that they do indeed...
It never goes well, or works out the way they intend it...
So, I guess we shall see...my eyes are opened and I'm listening...
There are definitely two very different opinions as to why this played out as it did...

Some of it.....Ritter says that Trump dragged Z to the WH....ordered him to show up.....ordered him to wear a suit.....when the suit was not good enough ordered him to get a different suit.....that level of pushing his buttons.

And that's one opinion...I've seen dozens of variations...I just don't buy that one...here's another: "Bessent negotiated the agreement with Zelensky in Ukraine. Zelensky had a tantrum & refused to sign it in Ukraine. He said he'd sign in Germany. He again refused to sign in Germany.
Zelensky then invited himself to the US lying to Rubio to gain access to THE WH & Trump.
On the plane ride zelensky had several group calls & individual calls with the clown team that ran bidumbs WH.
Zelensky is an actor. His job was to embarrass Trump by refusing to sign again.
However, democrats never expected it all to be broadcast live thereby robbing them of the opportunity to LIE about the events.
Democrats have no idea what an authentic leader is so
they NEVER expected Trump to kick that lying fraud out of the WH.
