Tariff War Risks Sinking World Into New Great Depression, International Chamber of Commerce Warns

Exactly. That is the one great advantage in any depression. The super rich retain enough wealth to scoop up assets the less fortunate are forced to let go. Maybe this is behind what is going on now - Trump and Musk on a self-interested mission to destroy the economy while their ridiculous cheerleaders sing "every day is like Christmas morning".
Maybe @Stone's brothers will be fortunate enough to be bought out? Do you think the new owners would be willing to keep deadweight like Fat Boy around?

I'm stocked up on both food and ammo. If it comes to it, there'll be a lot of dead fascists. They're pretty easy to spot. I know a lot of good Americans who are patriotic, stand by their oaths to the Constitution and don't want their children and grandchildren growing up in a fascist state led by a Putin asset.
DON'T TRY TO START A WAR YOU CANNOT WIN, SYBIL!
DON'T TRY TO HIDE BEHIND THE CONSTITUTION YOU DESPISE!

If the working people leave America, who will pay for your Social Security? Who will do all the jobs that need doing for you to survive?
I will, Wally.. I am part of the working people, and I am not going anywhere.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

What are you worried about, son? You'll either be safe in your "facility" or a homeless beggar on the streets. Either way, you'll be safe from American patriots shooting fascists.

I can get citizenship in Israel, and three EU countries. Because I have close relatives who have gotten citizenship all four countries have my grandparents already in their records as bestowing on me automatic citizenship. From my understanding, I could get citizenship in any, or all, of them in under a day. One of the countries actually contacts me every now and then trying to convince me to take up their citizenship, and obviously various charities try to convince me to be Israeli.

The European countries seem to really miss the Jews they lost.

The world economy could face a crash similar to the Great Depression of the 1930s unless the U.S. rows back on its plans to impose steep tariffs on imports, a senior official at the International Chamber of Commerce warned.

“Our deep concern is that this could be the start of a downward spiral that puts us in 1930s trade-war territory,” said Andrew Wilson, deputy secretary-general of the ICC, which promotes global business and trade. High tariffs on foreign goods imported into the U.S. in that decade contributed to a damaging global recession. The downturn plunged nearly a third of the global workforce into unemployment and slashed production at heavyweight industrial economies Germany and the U.S. by half, according to research from the International Monetary Fund.

I'm just sitting here again today feeling absolutely zero pain from Canada and Mexico’s counter tariffs.

I'm also feeling absolutely zero pain from the effects of all the federal workers that got fired.

They can call it hoarding, but I think of it more as disaster preparation. There are some real disaster coming. Some are natural disasters, but others are trump.
Libtards called it hoarding during the "toilet paper crisis". I'm simply reminding them all of that fact.

The toilet paper shortage happened when trump was president. he was the one coming up with excuses.

As for whether stockpiling of food is a problem, are there shortages of food? Are the shelves empty? No?

Well, in that case, stockpiling now when we have more than enough will help in the future when there are shortages. When the shelves are looking a bit more bare, I will not be buying, allowing you to buy more for your family. You should be thanking me.
