I think that Nifty took his athletic career very seriously... And took great pride in what he accomplished... As many many many many do.... It's such an incredibly minor thing in terms of impact, but it has given MAGA such an issue to rally around and paint the Dems as extremists. If Dems stick with this, it will hurt them in elections.
Society is still finding its way w/ transgenderism. Obviously, transgenders deserve equal treatment and respect, but things like sports & bathrooms are legitimate debates. The solutions to these issues need to evolve - and Democrats are trying to make change happen overnight.
