If Golden Age refers to the wealthy getting the gold, this will indeed be the Golden Age , The plutocrats have their man in charge.

Tariffs increase prices on things not being taxed. There are several reasons for this. By the way, we have seen all these problems with high tariffs in countries like Brazil and India.

An important reason is that if the inputs in the manufacturing of an item is imported, then prices will shoot up. This is even worse if there is a complex supply chain network that straddles borders. So parts from Mexico goes into American systems, that in turn is used as parts in a Canadian system, which in turn is used for parts in an American system... On and on, until it is finally used to make an American car.

Every time a part comes into America, there would be another 25% tariff, even on the parts of the part that came from the USA. This would mean that a US made car would have 3 to 4 times tariffs, and foreign cars would be cheaper. Setting these supply chains up took decades, so we cannot just replace them in the next month, like trump seems to think.

Beyond that, higher price competition would mean American producers would naturally raise their prices. Lower efficiency would also mean prices would go up. All this would also lower quality.

And having workers and investors having to pay more for other items would mean producers would have to pay them more, yet again, driving up prices.

If you are making a car, you can certainly make the parts for it. Domestically produced items aren't subject to tariff, Wally.

When will trump release the Guiffre Files, or even just hand them over to the Justice Department? It has been 20 years that he has been hiding those files. If he destroyed them, why did he destroy them?

Russia has been unable to capture all of the "4 Donbass regions", so Ukrainians would have to give them territory they could not capture in war, which means they would have to lose their frontline defenses. They would have to disarm, so would not be able to prepare new frontline defenses. That would leave them open for invasion... EASY INVASION.

And what would the Ukrainians get in return for leaving themselves open to invasion? A 30 day truce. If the Russians keep their word, they would be allowed to start attacking after 30 days.
