Yeah. It doesn't really justify racail profiling. There must be an encounter for some other reason before and other criteria must be met before immigration status inquiries can proceed.

Cops see a man who looks hispanic and they can manufacture any encounter they want.

All they've got to claim is they stopped the person for erratic driving...lane change with no signal...making a turn w/no signal.

People don't actually have to be breaking the law to get stopped by the cops.

Outright LIE and DISTORTION. The law does not say that, doesn't authorize that, and will not be enforced that way. This is a smoke-screen scare tactic, designed to dovetail with the allegations of racism lobbed at the right. Nothing more.

I really don't know what you're talking about. The way I read her post, she was defending the boycott of Arizona on the grounds that the Arizona law is (arguably) a violation of civil rights whereas the dumbass boycott of the Dixie Chicks was because they hurt George Bush's fee-fees.

And for some reason you seem to think that the City of San Francisco is somehow doing something wrong. I'd love to hear that argument rather than your asinine oblique references to "official force" and "force of the government as an employer."
