MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN
With all the debate going on, over oil, I was just wondering what everyone else think about the following.

If the US would develop a new form of energy and would no longer need foreign oil; is the US under an obligation to share this new energy with the rest of the world?
If it is shared, should it be for a fee or should it be free?

We gave you radar, jet engines, uranium separation, the WWW and HTML, radio, fibre optics, liquid crystals, computers, DNA fingerprinting, linear motors, VTOL aircraft, railways and hovercraft to name but a few. Oh, and just about every game played with a ball asides from lacrosse, pelota and volleyball.

I guess if the government invents a new energy source, they can do what they want with it. If I were to invent a new highly efficient energy source, i'm selling to the highest bidders. pay me.

I was thinking more of a stuation where the discovery had the financial backing of the Government.

The answers to those questions will depend if a person likes Capatalism, or Stateism. I know non perverted Capatalism works exponentially better than any statism when it somes to prosperity for it's citizens.

I say we have to disolve OPEC, and allow nations to compete. We will always need oil---fuel is just one little thing we make from it.

One thing I can't stress enough when getting introduced to diffierent forms of energy production---is the public knowledge of a thing called a "capability study". How capable (dollar/power) is a wind mill farm, compared to a coal plant we use today? Does the wind mill farms produce enough energy for us to grow our economy? NO! A wind mill farm can not run a production factory---but nuclear can today.

I am confidant that advancement in new energy will come up with things that can beat a hydro carbon (which is real hard to beat dollar/power)---but we have to be wise on what we spend money on---and WE ARE NOT. A non biased capability study compared to coal shown to the public will give us that wisdom---but we have not seen any capability studies, and it is even hard to find out how many watts a wind mill makes and sustains---hmmm.
