Trump imposes tariff on 180 countries, exempts Russia, Belarus, Cuba and North Korea.

You are so lost in your wasteland that you can't even tell what is a tree let alone a forest. If the purpose is to prevent countries from offshoring their manufacturing then the forest then the correct way would be to target those countries where outsourcing is likely to occur. There is no threat from penguins so why would you include them unless you weren't being serious about the reason.

Your examples only work to highlight how idiotic Trump's tariffs are. Real life threats should be targeted, not penguins.
I am not ignoring it at all. You are ignoring the fact that the country of manufacture is where the tariff is imposed, not the country that owns the factory.
I can't believe that you STILL don't realize that this is PRECISELY my point, as already detailed previously. I'm not ignoring it, dude; it is PRECISELY my point.

China owns the EV company.
The Chinese EV company builds a manufacturing plant in Mexico.
The EVs that are manufactured at that plant then get sent into the USA consumer market.

Why not just manufacture those EVs in China? Because if they were manufactured in China and then sent into the USA market, then the tariffs on China would apply to the Chinese company's product. However, if those same EVs were instead manufactured in Mexico and then sent into the USA market, then the Chinese company doesn't get hit with those tariffs on China (since the product is coming from Mexico, not from China).

That's part of why ALL countries (and ALL of their territories) are being hit with at least a 10% baseline tariff.
Penguins don't manufacture anything so no country will be building a factory for penguins to work at.
The fact that Trump imposed tariffs on uninhabited Islands only shows he put no thought into the tariffs.
Nope. In fact, it shows that he and his team put A LOT of thought into the tariffs.
No reasonable person would expect penguins to manufacture items for a Chinese company to ship to the US to avoid tariffs.
You continue to wander in your wasteland unable to tell a tree from a forest.

You continue to wander in your wasteland unable to tell a tree from a forest.

Yes, your loophole claim for the Heard and McDonald Islands is idiotic. No one other than an idiot would claim that penguins are going to run factories that will ship items to the US.
A tariff on Mexico to prevent Chinese factories has some merit.
Precisely, and more than just some.
A tariff on an uninhabited island in the Arctic Ocean to prevent Chinese factories is idiotic.
An uninhabited island where humans are not allowed to live or work would require any factory there to be built by penguins and run by penguins.
Not only that it is thousands of miles away from all manufacturing goods and services. It is idiotic to even think to claim that such an isolated place would be a threat to avoid tariffs.

The problem is that Islands in the Antarctic are not Mexico. They are not a threat to have Chinese factories built on them. They are not a threat to have any factories built on them. If the reason for putting a 10% tariff on the Heard and McDonald Islands is to prevent China building a factory there then it is one of the stupidest reasons ever.

You are one the stupidest people ever if you keep arguing that factories in Mexico have anything to do with islands in the Antarctic. A baseline tariff on an island that produces nothing, exports nothing, has no people living there and will never produce or export anything is not part of some grand scheme to prevent China from building factories. It is stupidity and you seem to be right there with it.

Nobody is claiming that they are.

You are still stuck in your wasteland.

Answer the simple question without needing to refer to Mexico or China.
Why did Trump put a tariff on an uninhabited island?

America and Americans need to stop blaming others for their own mess. The US isn't sending money/weapons/support to Ukraine to "help" Ukraine. It's sending these resources to fight Russia by proxy instead of fighting Russia directly. This is Washington's war. It always was. Who put the current political order in Ukraine into power in the first place? The US through decades of meddling and an outright coup in 2014!The US started this war deliberately, spanning the Bush-Obama-Trump-Biden admins and it is the US who must unilaterally end it.Instead, they're pretending as if they're helping an ungrateful ally rather than using a proxy of their own creation to advance their own foreign policy objectives. And as far as China goes, this claim they're "ripping off" the US is nonsense. The US has been bullying and ripping off the world for decades while hallowing out any semblance of a real economy all on its own. The free ride at everyone else's expense is coming to an end. Now China is bigger and stronger than the US, they have 4-5x more people and more infrastructure and industry, and the US needs to grow up and accept this instead of throwing a fit and risking global conflict because they can't.There is a real opportunity for positive change for America, but not if those influencing policy are going to ignore the real problem and blame others instead.

The tariff situation is an exogenous event. It is causing uncertainty and liquidity issues on Wall street and the real economy. The Fed has signaled they are not going to help. They are behind the 8 ball, as we are in a global recession now, and making the situation worse. Money is tight and getting tighter. This puts the Trump administration in a very difficult spot. They don’t have time on their side. They need to show very quick progress or slow down implementation. The odds of them pausing implementation rises every day.

The system was rigged. The middle class was getting crushed.”

What did Biden inherit? How about Obama? The reds fuck up economies as a rule. Trump will show you how that is done. His policies are very stupid. Do you believe that tariffing 180 countries makes sense? We do not have much or any business with many of them. But one of the DOGE kids picked up a list of countries and they cut and pasted it into Trump's policy statements. 180 countries. Spend 10 seconds thinking about that, and you will wonder WTF they are doing.

We have tariffs on Madagascar. Does that make you think Trump is working things out logically? Trump tariffed Benin, Bhutan, British Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Lesotho, Falkland Islands, Moldova, Saint Kitts among others. What that should tell you is they just made a big dumb list . This admin is a fucking joke.

It's an all inclusive list. That's the whole point.

Stupidity

We promised Ukraine support if they gave up their nuclear weapons, and in return we would support them against aggressors.

Russia invaded Ukraine because of Putin’s wet dream of bringing back the USSR.

We need to fulfill our promise to Ukraine’s.

The End
