Nah, y'all just glommed onto that to avoid talking about the fact that inflation was still above 3% when Trump took over, it never reached the goal of 2% and they had simply given up on the idea as growth was reaching lows they wanted to avoid. How childish you are. Presidents do not cause egg prices to go up and down. It is because of bird flu. Yet you reds blamed Biden for them because you could. Now it happens to Daffy Donald, and it is OK. You should be ashamed of the dishonesty you keep posting.
Basically, the left used "eggs" as an example as their rising cost was outside of inflation due to a bird flu epidemic.
That being said, the Trump administration invested heavily in helping egg farmers/ranchers (don't rightly know what they call them) from the danger from wild birds (they significantly added to putting up screens, etc. to keep out wild birds from egg laying flocks) and worked to increase flock sizes to reduce costs even so.
While eggs are not the measure the right was using, it was the laughable single focus of the left when January rolled around. All that being said, egg prices have steadily dropped since early 2025, and there is no sign of a huge spike in early April either. Some guy trying to use stats to slant a story notwithstanding, egg prices will drop. This is one of the reasons why the leftist focus on egg prices was so laughable, it is inevitable that the prices will go down and this focus simply will give Trump a victory that he didn't even have to work to earn.
