Greek Wealth Is Everywhere but Tax Forms

I find your notion of fairness disturbing. why do we have a duty to be honest and faithful towards an entity that has no intention of being either towards us?

I find it disturbing that your honesty is dependent on another person's honesty.

I do not lie because it is morally wrong to lie. Not because other people do or do not lie. I do not cheat because it is morally wrong to cheat. Not because someone else does or does not cheat. My beliefs and my morals are not dependent on others following them in order to hold true for me.

Topshit, isn't your job to find ways for your employer to evade taxation? That's my financial adviser's top priority.

And THAT is not cheating or lying. But what you also do (unless you lied there too) is take cash, not claim it, and sign saying you have given full disclosure. That is lying.

you are errantly comparing my dealings with another individual to my dealings with a government entity. I have a choice of whether I want to deal with a dishonest individual and maintain my moral code by simply refusing to deal with said dishonest individual. One does not get that choice when it concerns a gov entity. you MUST deal with them, dishonesty and all, and don't think for one second that they will change their evil ways just because you refuse to be anything but honest and moral.

individuals and gov entities.
apples and oranges

nobody should feel compelled to maintain honesty and morals when forced to deal with the gov.

This is just one supreme example why you don't deal with the gov fairly.

Who you are honest with is not the point. The fact that you are lying and cheating is the point.

I am not begrudging you the money you save, nor am I judging you, per se. That is for you to do. But if you start making noise about other people behavior being immoral or saying you are attacking people in search of the truth (which is all important), then I will call you on it.

no I'm a financial analyst, but let's take a CPA he's trying to avoide not evade taxes. Evading is not paying what you owe, avoiding is planning such that your transactions don't wind up being taxable. Maybe semantics to ya'll but not to accountants and lawyers.

that's fine STY, I don't want to hear you or SM whining about entitlement programs when you admittedly don't pay your fair share of taxes.

lucky for me, i'm always right. :cof1:

I deal with the world in a honest manner. That is how I live my life.

There are plenty of disgusting things about our gov't. We should work to change that instead of joining them in the pit.

which takes me back to my first post in this thread. there is nothing you can do to 'change' that when the law has been upheld by the highest court in the land. Unless you got everybody (90%) on board to change it. not gonna happen. there is too much money for the beauracracy to just not do it.
