As youth is SUPPOSED to do, I questioned every single value that my parents had.
Then, of my own volition, I adopted at least 95% of them.
The religion part wasn't really a factor, however,
because my parents were pretty much wedding and funeral Catholics.
That would pretty much apply to my whole family.
They had a moral code which they took seriously,
but they weren't regular church goers.

You're just dumb. If the teaching was that that people are saved by grace, faith, scripture, Christ and the glory of God, it would make sense. It's using the word "alone" with each one of these that's the inconsistency. If you can be saved by GRACE ALONE, why do you need the other four?

His belief that religion was "for all" (sola scriptura)... They translated the Bible into the language of the people, stopped having Priests be the only path to reading and understanding the Bible... However the trappings remained largely the same. Priests, give them confessions, stand up sit down services (in the language of the people instead of Latin)... The rote teaching... Much remained the same.
