Papal front runners. If the Black guy becomes the next pope, white Republicans will scream DEI till their buttholes explode

Please don't think of yourself as a nobody. I'm sure you're special to *someone.* Like Toxic, who's down to just a couple of eunuch defenders. lol

Our Lutheran church had one. It was called the baptismal font and only brought out when a baby was being baptized.
Yeah, Lutherans are pretty much the same thing as Catholic without the pope... the main difference between the two was literally the language the Lutherans chose to use.

So far in this large discussion I have yet to see a single self-proclaimed "Christian" exhibiting any behaviors or speech that would make me inclined to join that religion. Christiefan comes close, but I'm not sure if she still follows the faith or not.
The organized churches may be nice for some, but they are not essential to following Christ. I haven't been to church since I was a teenager because of disability and social restraints.

I'm not Catholic, so it doesn't make any difference to me who the Catholics pick for the pope. There's no question, a few will criticize whoever it is...

No, not realy the same although a lot of ppl like to believe so. Lutherans see the veneration of saints -- and their statues in church -- as akin to idolatry. Jesus is seen as your "friend" rather than a distant god you shouldn't directly pray to. You are right though that the liturgy, chants, etc. are quite similar. Lutherans come in several flavors and have their own beliefs and ways of conducting the worship service. Evangelical Lutherans are more laid back while Missouri Synod Lutherans are sticklers for dogma.

I disagree with them meddling too but they don't have a country that we send an ambassador to. But their meddling is also bad. When the Pope comes to the US he is treated as a head of state.

Yup. Ronald Reagan started it. I disagree with it. No point in having an ambassador to a 109 acre 400-500 citizen country.

What do you find inconsistent about Sola scriptura
Five "alones" doesn't make sense. It's internally inconsistent. It's like saying something is "very unique."

1. Sola scriptura: “Scripture alone”
2. Sola fide: “faith alone”
3. Sola gratia: “grace alone”
4. Solo Christo: “Christ alone”
5. Soli Deo gloria: “to the glory of God alone”
